Mischa Barton<\/strong> didn\u2019t just take fans by surprise with her comments about being \u201cbullied\u201d on the set of\u00a0The O.C.<\/em> Her castmates were plenty confused as well.<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, the one and only Marissa Cooper unloaded after a decade and a half, discussing what led to her leaving the show prematurely \u2014 which she says was talked about from the FIRST SEASON.<\/p>\n

After her lengthy, rare interview on the subject, former co-stars\u00a0Rachel Bilson<\/strong> and\u00a0Melinda Clarke<\/strong> \u2014 who just launched the\u00a0Welcome To The O.C. Bitches<\/em> rewatch podcast \u2014 said they were \u201cperplexed\u201d by her claims.<\/p>\n

Rachel in particular, who played Marissa\u2019s bestie Summer Roberts on the iconic teen drama, was taken aback by Mischa\u2019s mention of her \u201clast-minute\u201d addition as a series<\/a> regular and \u201cevening out everybody\u2019s pay.\u201d Same, gurl. We couldn\u2019t tell\u00a0what<\/em> she was getting at.<\/p>\n

Well, someone thinks they have the answers. A new source is spilling to\u00a0Page Six<\/em>, scoffing at Mischa\u2019s claims she was bullied \u2014 saying instead\u00a0she<\/em> was the one who was a \u201cnightmare\u201d to work with:<\/p>\n

\u201cSo now she wants to go say that she was bullied. It wasn\u2019t that she was bullied. People didn\u2019t app<\/a>reciate waiting for hours for her to show up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yep, the source paints a very different picture of Barton as a diva who would \u201cshow up late\u201d for filming all the time. And it wasn\u2019t just her with the behavior, says this insider; it was her mother, too. The source says the momager was \u201cannoying\u201d to everyone on set:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a mess.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Innerestingly, we wouldn\u2019t be surprised if Mischa acknowledged that last bit. She actually filed a lawsuit against Nuala Barton<\/strong> back in 2015, claiming her manager mom withheld earnings and, yes, bullied her.<\/p>\n

As far as the rest, well, the former child star isn\u2019t denying her own behavior \u2014 just trying to make sure everyone is held accountable. In a new statement to the outlet in response to the source\u2019s accusations, she says:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a lot going on. Whether I was late or not doesn\u2019t excuse certain behavior from individuals in powerful positions. Everyone experiences things differently and where I acknowledge some of my past behavior may not have been helpful in certain instances, I will tell my truth when I feel ready.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We wish that would happen on Rachel and Melinda\u2019s podcast. Her co-stars invited her to come on and talk about her experience, and that would be THE most must-watch TV since the season three finale.<\/p>\n

Innerestingly, Page Six<\/em>\u2018s source also claims to have observed Mischa\u2019s behavior on the set of The Hills: New Beginnings<\/em> in 2019 and said the difference was \u201cnight and day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was definitely more mature. She definitely was showing up with an understanding of what her responsibilities were.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And of course, no momager around\u2026<\/p>\n
