\nKate Middleton<\/strong> very much wanted to repair Meghan Markle<\/strong> and Prince Harry<\/strong>\u2019s relationships with the royal family \u2014 but there\u2019s only so much a Duchess can do!<\/p>\n

In a new piece for Stella<\/em> magazine, royal expert Camilla Tominey<\/strong> said Prince William<\/strong>\u2019s wife told her friends it \u201cwasn\u2019t too late\u201d to \u201cpull Harry and Meghan back into the fold\u201d as of a few months ago, before their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The expert wrote:<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been reliably informed she was even telling her friends before the Oprah interview that she did not think it was too late to \u2018pull them back in.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to Camilla, the Duchess of Cambridge had \u201ctaken the same app<\/a>roach as The Queen<\/b>\u201d before the interview in hoping that the \u201cmuch loved members of The Firm\u201d would return.<\/p>\n

Of course, that all changed when Meg and Harry sat down with Oprah and made several shocking allegations against the family \u2014 including that Kate made the Suits<\/em> alum cry before her wedding and that a member of the royal family raised \u201cconcerns\u201d over baby Archie<\/strong>\u2019s skin color. Yet despite being put on blast by Meghan, Camilla noted the 39-year-old decided to \u201crise above\u201d it and act as a peacemaker between William and Harry at Prince Philip<\/strong>\u2018s funeral.<\/p>\n

That we do know is true. When Harry reunited with his family at his grandfather\u2019s funeral weeks after the interview, Kate was the first member of the family to be seen chatting to him, and was even spotted hanging back in an effort to reunite him with William.<\/p>\n

The royal expert explained that Kate is so fixated on mending things with the Sussexes because that\u2019s just who she is; but she also wants to make peace so Archie and his sister can be close to her own children, Prince George<\/strong>, Princess Charlotte<\/strong>, and Prince Louis<\/strong>. Camilla continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving grown up being close to her own siblings, Pippa, 37, and James, 34, the Duchess remained keen to bury the hatchet even after the interview aired to a global audience of millions, seemingly for the sake of two-year-old Archie\u2019s relationship with his cousins.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This comes after Kate\u2019s uncle, Gary Goldsmith<\/strong>, said his \u201cpeacemaker\u201d niece is \u201ctrying to media<\/a>te\u201d and doing all she can to put an end to the family drama.\u00a0Gary also had not-so-kind words for the Duke of Sussex, telling Closer<\/em> magazine that Harry needs to \u201cget a grip\u201d and stop his \u201cself-indulgent episode\u201d before it gets to the point where there is \u201cno common ground or relationship to rebuild.\u201d He noted:<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if anyone can bring peace to the royals, Kate can. Kate is a brilliant arbiter and peacemaker. Every bone in her body is about making friends and doing the best she can.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We\u2019re glad to hear Kate is hasn\u2019t given up trying to repair the fractured relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal fam, because it sounds like at this point pretty much everyone else in the situation has!<\/p>\n
