Shouldn\u2019t we be thrilled to finally get some answers on where Max and Helen stand?<\/p>\n<p>There is a new sneak peek for the finale (see below, via <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/new-amsterdam-finale-max-tells-helen-he-needs-to-be-with-her\/\">Us Weekly<\/a>) that presents quite possibly the most explicit evidence yet that the show is moving towards something big for these two characters. It kicks off with Max leaving a voicemail to someone, proclaiming how much he misses them and how much he wants to be around them. It\u2019s a romantic plea of sorts and bodes a big question: Who is he leaving this for?<\/p>\n<p>To us, Dr. Sharpe feels like the only reasonable candidate; as a matter of fact, we\u2019re at a place where we\u2019re going to be pretty mad if it\u00a0<em>isn\u2019t\u00a0<\/em>Helen! Just think about it like this: The writers have been playing around with a \u201cwill they, won\u2019t they\u201d story for weeks on end, and NBC made the entire promo for this episode about the state of their relationship. If this is some fake-out it\u2019s going to be extremely dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointing.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, there are still questions. From this voicemail alone it sounds like Max hasn\u2019t seen the person he\u2019s talking to for a while. There are indications that there is a time jump before the finale begins, so that does leave open the possibility that this is very-much Helen that he\u2019s speaking to and they\u2019ve been away from each other for a while\u2026<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"In_other_news%E2%80%A6\"><\/span>In other news\u2026<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Max receives a brain scan in the sneak peek, but afterwards he is told that he\u2019s got a clean bill of health for the next six months. It is nice to see him taking care of himself, given that he hasn\u2019t always done the best job of that \u2014 even though he\u00a0<em>is\u00a0<\/em>a doctor.
