\n Roger Stone on Monday night said his trial for lying to Congress was \u201cthe most horrible experience you can have\u201d \u2014 and slammed the federal justice system for his prosecution.<\/p>\n

Stone, whose 40-month sentence was commuted by President Trump Friday, blasted his prosecution while venting about his experience in an interview with Fox News<\/a>\u2019 Sean Hannity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the most horrible experience you can have because I see immedia<\/a>tely why 99 percent of the people who chose to plead not guilty and go to trial, lose,\u201d Stone, 67, told Hannity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re up against the horrific and deep-pocket resources of the federal government and these, really sadistic, arrogant, politically motivated prosecutors \u2026 I had a biased judge, I had a stacked jury, I had a corrupt jury forewoman,\u201d Stone fumed.<\/p>\n

Stone\u2019s lawyer, David Schoen, said in the interview that he and Stone will \u201chave to sit down and make a decision as to whether to go forward with the app<\/a>eal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stone was convicted in November 2019 on seven counts of obstruction, witness tampering and making false statements to Congress stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller\u2019s Russia investigation.<\/p>\n

If Stone does seek to have his charges acquitted, Schoen said they would do it before Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who presided over Stone\u2019s trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got to become convinced that I could get a fair second trial, because I certainly didn\u2019t get a fair first trial,\u201d Stone said.<\/p>\n

A longtime adviser to Trump, Stone again heaped praise on the president for commuting his sentence days before it was scheduled to begin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have deep, deep affection for Donald Trump because I\u2019ve known him 40 years,\u201d Stone said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe saved my life, and at least on paper, he gave me a chance to fight for vindication,\u201d he said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
