A Dunkin\u2019 Donuts manager was fatally shot by an armed robber who forced his way into the Philadelphia business early Saturday morning, a report said.<\/p>\n

Christine Lugo, 41, a mother of two, was opening the donut shop at about 5:30 a.m. when the gunman barged inside and demanded cash, police told WPVI<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lugo complied, handing over money from an inside office before the man pumped a bullet into her head, the report said.<\/p>\n

The worker died at the scene. Her killer reportedly remained on the loose Sunday.<\/p>\n

The murder left Lugo\u2019s friends shocked. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe was a special person,\u201d former co-worker Gilberto Melendez told the news<\/a> station.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s crazy that somebody can just come and take somebody\u2019s life like it\u2019s nothing,\u201d said Melendez.<\/p>\n

Dunkin\u2019 Donuts, in a statement to the outlet, said: \u201cAll of us at Dunkin\u2019 are saddened to learn of the death of a restaurant manager, and our thoughts go out to her family and friends.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
