A Texas mom was arrested for allegedly posing as her 13-year-old daughter for nearly a whole day of middle school, according to a report Sunday.<\/p>\n

Casey Garcia, 30, allegedly slipped into the unnamed school in San Elizario dressed as the teen \u2014\u00a0complete with a hoodie, backpack and facemask \u2014\u00a0to prove a point about lax security,\u00a0 according to Youtube<\/a> videos she posted. <\/p>\n

During the bizarre stunt, nobody noticed she wasn\u2019t her daughter, Julie, until seventh period at the end of the school day, Garcia said in the videos, which were first reported by Insider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been here all day, face-to-face with teachers,\u201d she said in one of the videos. \u201cDo I look like a seventh-grader? No? Cool. Awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Footage shows<\/a> her strolling through a school hallway in high-top sneakers \u2014\u00a0at one point greeting the principal,\u00a0 who app<\/a>ears to have no idea she\u2019s a grown woman.<\/p>\n

At other points, she sits in classrooms, eats her lunch in a cafeteria and talks to faculty members. For most of the day, the only trouble she encountered was being scolded by a teacher for having her phone out, she said.<\/p>\n

But her safe schools crusade took an even weirder turn when she was caught, confronted by police\u00a0and later arrested.<\/p>\n

She was charged with suspicion of criminal trespassing and tampering with government records, according to CBS 12<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a follow-up video<\/a>, Garcia claimed the\u00a0goal\u00a0of breaching the school was to show tighter security was needed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it should have ever gotten this far,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m telling you right now we need better security at our schools \u2014 this is what I tried to prove.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThis is about our children and the safety of our children,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s all I\u2019m trying to do is prevent another mass shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of Friday, she was being held on a bond of $7,908. Garcia did not immediately respond to Insider\u2019s request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
