&#8216;Psych 2,&#8217; &#8216;Intelligence&#8217; &amp; &#8216;Capture&#8217;<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Brave_New_World\"><\/span><strong><i>Brave New<\/i><\/strong><i>\u00a0<strong>World<\/strong><\/i><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Sexy_%E2%80%9CNew_World%E2%80%9D\"><\/span><strong>A Sexy &#8220;New World&#8221;<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There&#8217;s a lot of talk about the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> body&#8221; in a lavish new limited-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> adaptation of <i>Brave New<\/i><i>\u00a0World<\/i><em>,\u00a0<\/em>the Aldous Huxley dystopian sci-fi classic many of us know from high-school lit class. But it&#8217;s the many scantily clad bodies writhing in orgiastic abandon that you might remember after watching this sleek and sensual depiction of a future hive society in New London, where everyone (the upper-tier Alphas and Betas, anyway) lives in decadent and polyamorous bliss as long as they stay in their station and keep popping those mood-enhancing Soma pills.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_941081\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Brave New World Peacock Jessica Brown Findlay\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-941081\" data-aspectratio=\"855\/641\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/NUP_187536_1382-760x570.jpg\" data- height=\"641\"  src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\"  width=\"855\"><\/img><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-941081\">Jessica Brown Findlay in <em>Brave New World <\/em>(Steve Schofield\/Peacock)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Downton Abbey<\/em>&#8216;s Jessica Brown Findlay is sensational as the restless Lenina, a scientist in a genetic-engineering lab who rewards herself, in the company of drippy superior Bernard (Harry Lloyd), with a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> to the &#8220;Savage Lands,&#8221; where a lower caste of citizens lives in old-school squalor to the amusement of slumming and gawking tourists. A dangerous social revolution\u2014how timely\u2014is brewing, however, and when Lenina and Bernard barely escape a massacre, they bring back the brooding John &#8220;the Savage&#8221; (the terrific Alden Ehrenreich) to their &#8220;civilized&#8221; world. To say John is a disruptive influence is an understatement, and that&#8217;s where the fun begins.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Psych_2_Lassie_Comes_Home\"><\/span><em>Psych 2: Lassie Comes<\/em><em> Home<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Jokesters_Are_Back\"><\/span><strong>The Jokesters Are Back<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Shawn&#8217;s got a million of them. Questionable-taste nicknames, that is, for his long-suffering partner-in-crime-solving Gus. In the delightfully silly <em>Psych 2: Lassie Comes<\/em><em> Home<\/em><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>the second feature-length reunion for James Roday (Shawn), Dul\u00e9 Hill (Gus) and the rest of the\u00a0<em>Psych\u00a0<\/em>gang, Shawn explains why some things never change: &#8220;We can&#8217;t just dump bits we&#8217;ve been doing for 10 years. We have fans. They have expectations. There&#8217;ll be a huge backlash.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fans of\u00a0<em>Psych\u00a0<\/em>will get exactly what they&#8217;re looking for in this loony and frantically gag-heavy caper, in which the guys leave their new digs in San Francisco to return to Santa Barbara after their friend and former foil, Police Chief Carlton &#8220;Lassie&#8221; Lassiter (Timothy Omundson), is ambushed and shot, his memory scattered after a stroke\u2014reflecting the actor&#8217;s own condition as he continues to recover from a massive stroke in 2017. Lassie, they worry, is having hallucinatory visions of sinister shenanigans occurring at his recovery clinic. (Among the in-jokes: Sarah Chalke plays one of his attendants; cue the\u00a0<em>Scrubs<\/em> reference.)<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_941659\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-941659\" data-aspectratio=\"855\/570\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/psych-2-855x570.jpg\" data- height=\"570\"  src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\"  width=\"855\"><\/img><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-941659\">James Roday and Dule Hill in <em>Psych 2<\/em> (James Dittinger\/Peacock)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The real mystery, though, might be this: &#8220;How did either of you reach adulthood?&#8221; wonders an eccentric cat lady (<em>A Million Little Things&#8217;<\/em> Allison Miller) upon first meeting Shawn and Gus. (A self-referential joke referring to how\u00a0<em>Millions, <\/em>co-starring Roday and Miller,\u00a0lives in the shadow of\u00a0<em>This Is Us<\/em> made me laugh out loud.) Before long, the unrepentant cut-ups are aggravating the clinic&#8217;s director (<em>The Good Doctor<\/em>&#8216;s Richard Schiff, who always looks like he&#8217;s on the verge of cracking up) and running from angry Viking bikers at an ice bar. Just like old times.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Intelligence\"><\/span><strong><em>Intelligence<\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2K8hRVTl330\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"550\" width=\"100%\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dumb_Office_Fun\"><\/span><strong>Dumb Office Fun<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If <em>The Office<\/em> had been set in a hapless parody of\u00a0<em>24<\/em>&#8216;s CTU, the result might be something like the hilarious\u00a0<em>Intelligence<\/em>, an inspired import from Britain&#8217;s Sky starring David Schwimmer, a world removed from <em>Friends<\/em>&#8216; sweetly dorky Ross Geller,\u00a0as the arrogant but essentially useless NSA transplant Jerry Bernstein. The awkward American arrives at the UK&#8217;s misfit-ridden GCHQ Centre for Cyber Security as a liaison, which we later learn was probably a damage-control demotion, but he immediately starts acting like he owns the place. (He promises, or possibly threatens, to &#8220;raise morale so high people can barely move.&#8221;) Clashing immediately with the unamused female director (Sylvestra Le Touzel), Jerry manipulates the bumbling and insecure analyst Joseph (series creator Nick Mohammed) to reluctantly do his bidding in what <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to be a one-sided power struggle.<\/p>\n<p>Should this show continue, and I hope it does, I wouldn&#8217;t be surprised if David Brent (Ricky Gervais from the original UK\u00a0<em>The Office)\u00a0<\/em>eventually shows up, botching an illegal arms sale or the like. He&#8217;d fit right in.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Capture\"><\/span><strong><em>The Capture<\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can\u2019t believe your eyes, and sometimes even your ears, in <em>The Capture,<\/em> a terrifically twisty and intensely suspenseful six-part spy thriller, which helps get NBCUniversal&#8217;s new streaming service off to a strong start, although you&#8217;ll notice a decidedly British influence in its first slate of scripted originals.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_941660\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Holliday Grainger The Capture\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-941660\" data-aspectratio=\"854\/570\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/the-capture-854x570.jpg\" data- height=\"570\"  src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\"  width=\"854\"><\/img><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-941660\">Holliday Grainger in\u00a0<em>The Capture<\/em> (BBC\/Heyday Films\/Nick Wall)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><i>The Capture, <\/i>a BBC One co-production,\u00a0refers to images caught on video, in this case damning CCTV footage of young, controversial soldier Shaun Emery (an inscrutable Callum Turner). Recently cleared of an Afghan war atrocity, he\u2019s shown committing an assault in London that he insists, and perplexed viewers will agree, never happened. Ambitious Detective Inspector Rachel Carey (<i>The Borgias<\/i>\u2019 sensationally crisp Holliday Grainger) isn\u2019t buying it, though, because the camera never lies.<\/p>\n<p>Or does it?<\/p>\n<p>The more Rachel investigates, the more she is alarmed to learn about high-tech methods of video manipulation and deepfake subterfuge that suggest an international conspiracy way above her pay grade. Adding to the paranoid tension are the ubiquitous surveillance cameras. When everyone\u2019s watching everyone, does a pawn like Shaun stand a chance at getting the truth out?
