In their mishandling of the time heist, the Tesseract falls into the hands of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), allowing him to make a quick escape and leading us into his own series on Disney+.<\/p>\n<p>But did you happen to notice the sequence didn\u2019t play exactly as it does in the movie itself? That was done intentionally by director <strong>Kate Herron<\/strong>.<span id=\"more-675789\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Speaking with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/loki-avengers-endgame-marvel-disney-1234965274\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Herron explained that a mix of alternate takes and new shots inserted into the original sequenced helped freshen up the opening scenes. When it comes to the scenes that they didn\u2019t have the ability to reshoot, Herron said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->\u201cSo with the Endgame moment, we deliberately used footage, takes and angles that hadn\u2019t been in that film, mixed in with the structure of the scene that people recognize.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While watching the first episode, I thought a couple line deliveries didn\u2019t sound quite right, and that\u2019s because there were using those takes to keep it feeling fresh. And I for one im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely recognized it, because I have seen that movie many, many\u2026many times. Hey, it\u2019s no secret that 2020 was a hard year, and <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em> is the best blockbuster comfort food, all right?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-675799 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/loki-elevatorwave-endgame-700x300.jpg\" alt=\"Loki - Elevator Wave\" width=\"700\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/loki-elevatorwave-endgame.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/loki-elevatorwave-endgame-360x154.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_New_Perspective\"><\/span>A New Perspective<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>But it wasn\u2019t just old footage that Kate Herron used to freshen up that <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em> sequence. The filmmaker wanted the sequence to play out a little more from Loki\u2019s perspective as we start to veer into his own story. Herron talked about a new shot they added that wasn\u2019t part of the <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em> production:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe wanted to put it more into Loki\u2019s POV, so I filmed the shot in the elevator where he waves. I almost think of it a bit like <em>Rashomon<\/em>; it\u2019s a scene we\u2019ve seen before, but now we\u2019re putting it through a different lens. So we did film some of it, as it\u2019s a mixture of both [new and old footage].\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 --><\/p>\n<p>It has a sort of <em>Back to the Future Part II<\/em> feel, like when Doc and Marty are forced to go back to 1955 to stop Biff from ruining the future.
