Back in March<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, we got our first peek at upcoming original anime Visual Prison<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/a>. Hailing from\u00a0Noriyasu Agematsu <\/strong>and Afredes<\/strong>, the series<\/a> blends vampire drama with a visual kei aesthetic. The latest news<\/a> drop from the series includes a teaser visual (seen above), plus character art for the ten main characters and an expanded crew list.<\/p>\n

The first set of character art shows off the three musical units of the series \u2014 O\u2605Z, LOS\u2020EDEN, and ECLIPSE \u2014 in both their stage costumes and their plainclothes looks:<\/p>\n

Takeshi Furuta\u00a0<\/strong>(Utano\u2606Princesama Legend Star<\/em><\/strong>) has been announced as general<\/a> director, with\u00a0Tomoya Tanaka<\/strong>\u00a0(The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments<\/em><\/strong>) directing.\u00a0Yukie Sugawara<\/strong>\u00a0(The [email\u00a0protected]<\/span> SideM<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>) will handle series composition.\u00a0Minako Shiba<\/strong>\u00a0(Black Butler<\/em><\/strong>) serves as character designer, working from concepts by the previously announced\u00a0Ikumi Katagari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Agematsu’s own collective of composers,\u00a0Elements Garden<\/strong>, will compose the music for the series. Their work can be heard in music-centric series like\u00a0Utano\u2606Princesama<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0BanG Dream!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>, and\u00a0Symphogear<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The info drop hails from today’s “Visual Prison Power Push!!” on ABEMA, which announced a second such news program coming in July. This upcoming second episode will feature app<\/a>earances from cast members.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Visual Prison<\/i>\u00a0is set in the modern day, where music-loving vampires gather once a year for the anime’s titular party. The series is due to premiere in\u00a0October 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
