Black Lives Matter\u2019s \u201coutright racists and \u00adnihilists,\u201d antifa\u2019s \u201cMaoists\u201d and \u201ctheir wannabe hangers-on\u201d have now begun to embarrass the \u201cwoke rich\u201d who aided and abetted the riots. \u201cSome 150 leftist writers and artists recently signed a letter\u201d against cancel culture. The protesters themselves, meanwhile, now seem \u201cbored with the puerile bullhorn chants\u201d and the \u201cstatue-toppling.\u201d Goya CEO Robert \u00adUnanue \u201cseems utterly unfazed,\u201d despite the \u201cpajama-boy mob\u201d calling him out for praising President Trump. \u201cSeattle\u2019s CHAZ\/CHOP is gone.\u201d In other words, \u201cthe revolution is tiring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture critic: F\u200a-\u200a-\u200aking F-Word<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve watched or heard the current riots, you\u2019ve probably noticed that the \u201c\u200a\u2018F-word\u2019 is having a moment,\u201d Conor Dinnison quips at Spectator USA. \u201cOnce the razor-sharp \u2018Piss Christ\u2019 of the English lexicon,\u201d the F-word now seems \u201cneutered of semantic utility or illicit charm.\u201d Hard-left protesters are using the F-word as \u201ca weapon against order, against beauty, against the conscionable.\u201d Because of its overuse, now even the ability to desecrate is \u201cirrevocably lost,\u201d with the erstwhile counterculture unable to \u201crail against the status quo\u201d because it \u201cis the status quo.\u201d The real counterculture these days stands for order, and it uses \u201clingo worthy of its high ideals.\u201d It should keep on using high language: \u201cDesecration requires little in the way of skill or investment,\u201d after all, \u201cbut creation does, in spades.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: For a Progressive Conservatism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While \u201cNever Trumpers fondly imagine\u201d that Republicans will return to being \u201cbeautiful losers when President Trump departs the scene,\u201d the president\u2019s \u201cprogressive conservatism\u201d will remain after he leaves office, contends F.H. Buckley at The American Conservative. The seemingly oxymoronic term actually refers to being \u201cleft-wing or middle of the road on economics but right-wing on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> issues\u201d \u2014 and explains how \u201cthe Trump campaign cracked America\u2019s electoral code in 2016.\u201d If Republicans want to win again, they have to \u201ctake the issues of inequality and immobility away from the Democrats,\u201d oppose corruption and embrace \u201chorizontal nationalism,\u201d a \u201csense of kinship to and fraternity with fellow citizens.\u201d That kind of \u201cprogressive conservatism,\u201d Buckley predicts, will not only stick around but also \u201cinform the policies of a successful Republican Party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Barrasso: Don\u2019t Stop the Reopening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At RealClearPolitics, Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), a physician, cheers America\u2019s recovery \u201cfrom its coronavirus-induced coma. The economy added nearly 5 million jobs in June \u2014 our largest-ever monthly jobs gain.\u201d Which is why it\u2019s irresponsible to react to any spike in viral cases with premature and overly drastic calls for more shutdowns. \u201cAs a doctor, I trust the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a> and the data. The science tells me we can\u2019t reopen recklessly or all at once. The science also makes clear that mortality and hospitalization rates are falling in many areas. Young people, while not invincible, are increasingly experiencing mild or asymptomatic cases. We also know the health cost from staying locked down is huge.\u201d Plus, the lockdowns have their own costs: \u201cData show that long-term unemployment leads to a rise in abuse: spousal abuse, substance abuse and child abuse. These problems are equally as serious as the coronavirus.\u201d Bottom line: \u201cWe can be smart and sensible as we reopen,\u201d but we can\u2019t pull back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: The Cost of Media\u2019s Policing Lies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the effort to stop violence,\u201d a pair of Texas police officers recently \u201cbecame its victims,\u201d laments Greg Gutfeld at Fox<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>.com. And \u201cthat\u2019s the story of many cops\u2019 lives,\u201d though \u201cthe proportion of media coverage on such crimes, compared to other stories, is sorely lacking.\u201d When cops mess up violently, \u201cit\u2019s amplified to suit the media need.\u201d But \u201cwhat need does it serve to report a story of two dead cops?\u201d For too many mainstream outlets, the answer is: \u201cvery little.\u201d The media distortions aren\u2019t consequence-free.
