It\u2019s easy to integrate and can make your online store a smoother experience.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Does_Google_Pay_Work\"><\/span>How Does Google Pay Work?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pay.google.com\/\">Google Pay<\/a> allows customers to make purchases using a pre-saved debit or credit card using their phone. It also allows for safe checkout through Google, since you don\u2019t have to enter your credit card info. This can increase trust in your business, and lead to more sales.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, users click the button, and are given a prompt to check out with Google. It can also be used in Firefox and Chrome, whereas Apple Pay can only be used in Safari.<\/p>\n<p>The process of adding Google Pay to your store will vary depending on what service and payment provider you\u2019re using, so we\u2019ll cover the options for a few major e-commerce services. In any case, Google Pay will need you to serve your website over HTTPS, but you should be doing that regardless.<\/p>\n<p>Google Pay is available through many different <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/pay\/api\/\">Payment Service Providers<\/a>, and is also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/pay\/api\/web\/overview\">available directly as an API<\/a>. Usually, you\u2019re going to want to offer more payment options than just Google Pay, so you\u2019ll want to use a dedicated provider that covers a lot of options rather than just implementing only GPay directly.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_Shopify\"><\/span>Using Shopify<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shopify.com\/?ref=howtogeek\">Shopify<\/a>\u00a0is an ecommerce service that integrates checkouts with a fully built website and product management system. Adding Google Pay support to it is pretty easy.<\/p>\n<p>Google Pay is offered through both Checkout.com and WooCommerce Payments, their primary payments provider.\u00a0If you\u2019re using WooCommerce Payments, you\u2019ll simply need to enable \u201cPayment Request Buttons\u201d under\u00a0Payments &gt; Settings.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re using S<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>e for checkout, it should be enabled automatically, though you\u2019ll want to make sure \u201cPayment Request Buttons\u201d is checked under\u00a0WooCommerce &gt; Settings &gt; Payments &gt; Stripe.<\/p>\n<p>In either case, you\u2019ll want to make sure your site is served over HTTPS and that you have a live WooCommerce account, not in Dev Mode.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_Stripe\"><\/span>Using Stripe<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11904\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.cloudsavvyit.com\/p\/uploads\/2021\/06\/a1a6cb2f.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"319\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fstripe.com%2F\">Stripe<\/a> is a payment processor that\u2019s very similar to PayPal, but offers great developer support to different applications and supports a lot of different checkout methods, including Google Pay. It\u2019s the best option if you want to add payment support to your own application or website, and don\u2019t want to use an existing e-commerce solution.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re using <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fstripe.com%2Fdocs\/payments\/checkout\">Stripe Checkout<\/a>, a Stripe-hosted checkout page which handles payment processing automatically, you don\u2019t have to do anything. Google Pay is supported by default on any device that supports it.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to set up payments on your own domain, you\u2019ll need to interact with the Stripe API. You\u2019ll simply need to use the Stripe API to create and send payments using these buttons.<\/p>\n<p>This will depend highly on your frontend configuration, but in either case you will need to manually set up a payment intent object and communicate between your server, Stripe, and the client.
