Alien contact could ultimately \u201cend life on Earth\u201d and we shouldn\u2019t seek to communicate with them as it risks \u201cendangering mankind\u201d, according to experts.<\/p>\n

Their fears come after it was revealed\u00a0NASA is now actively investigating UFOs\u00a0and as a bombshell US intelligence report is poised to NOT rule out the existence of alien life.<\/p>\n

Physicist Mark Buchanan wrote a piece in the\u00a0Washington Post<\/a>\u00a0that referenced Defense Department videos \u2013 including one which showed Navy aircraft encountering \u201cunidentified aerial phenomena.\u201d<\/p>\n

The startling clips \u2013\u00a0which made headlines around the world<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0included objects flying at speeds and in directions not possible for human-made flight.<\/p>\n

However, it would be dangerous to assume any possible visitors from another planet are coming in peace, according to a group of astronomers cited in Buchanan\u2019s op-ed article.<\/p>\n

\u201cChances are, we should all be grateful that we don\u2019t yet have any evidence of contact with alien civilizations,\u201d Buchanan writes.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttempting to communicate with extraterrestrials, if they do exist, could be extremely dangerous for us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to figure out whether it\u2019s wise \u2014 or safe \u2014 and how to handle such attempts in an organized manner.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) astronomer Joe Gertz fears attempts at communicating with aliens could trigger \u201cthe reckless endangerment of all mankind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buchanan then warned that beings from other plans are likely to be more advanced than humans \u2013 making them an even greater threat.<\/p>\n

However, some scientists believe extraterrestrial contact could benefit humanity through the use of alien tech, which in turn could improve the planet\u2019s sustainability and help cure diseases.<\/p>\n

Intelligence officials have been ordered to compile a dossier on\u00a0UFOs\u00a0for Congress after a flurry of videos filmed by US Navy and Air Force personnel were leaked \u2013 and the report is\u00a0due for release this month.<\/p>\n

The dossier reportedly will say the\u00a0Pentagon cannot explain some 120 sightings<\/a>\u00a0made by US Navy personnel over the past two decades \u2013 but it will conclude they are not known tech.<\/p>\n

Senior officials briefed on the findings said that because the report is inconclusive, the\u00a0government could not definitively rule out the alien spacecraft theories<\/a>.<\/p>\n

UFOs \u2013 now more commonly referred to in scientific and intelligence circles as\u00a0Unidentified Aerial Phenomena\u00a0(UAP) \u2013 have stepped from being fringe conspiracy theories to a genuine security concern.<\/p>\n

NASA\u00a0chief Bill Nelson\u2019s comments just further cement how seriously the UFO issue is being taken throughout all levels of the US administration.<\/p>\n

He told CNN:<\/a> \u201cI have talked to these navy pilots and they are sure they saw something real, and of course we have seen the videos from their jets.\u201d<\/p>\n

Numerous leaked videos have emerged showing strange encounters between US warplanes and warships \u2013 with the most recent showing\u00a0USS Omaha being swarmed by up to 14 UFOs.<\/p>\n

Officials have started taking the unprecedented step of confirming the authenticity of the footage as calls grow in the US for widespread disclosure to figure out what \u2013 if anything \u2013 the world\u2019s governments are hiding on UFOs.<\/p>\n

Competing theories on the strange videos continue to rage \u2013 with some grounded on Earth claiming the videos capture\u00a0never-before-seen military aircraft or drones, while others claim it shows otherworldly craft possibly piloted by aliens.<\/p>\n

Others however are more skeptical and sometimes even dismissive, claiming the bizarre videos may just be camera tricks, natural phenomena or even outright hoaxes.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
