\nKanye West<\/strong> is facing down\u00a0another<\/em> lawsuit \u2014 this time over some allegedly stolen technology<\/a> reportedly used to help the rapp<\/a>er sell\u00a0Sunday Service<\/strong> merchandise \u2014 and now, we\u2019re learning more about it.<\/p>\n

In particular, news<\/a> reports are coming to light claiming Kim Kardashian<\/strong>\u2018s estranged husband performed some pretty crazy antics during a recent video deposition, even going so far as to wear a fake Jesus mask and avoid answering any questions from lawyers!<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0All Hip-Hop<\/em>, Yeezy underwent a deposition early last week in an ongoing lawsuit he\u2019s facing from a company called MyChannel<\/strong>. In the suit, the company alleged the fashion designer-slash-rap performer and producer backed out of a deal he\u2019d made with them and then stole the company\u2019s technology to sell his own Sunday Service merch.<\/p>\n

For a while now, MyChannel has apparently been fighting to get Kanye into court for an in-person deposition, but the Chicago-born artist and his legal team have resisted. With COVID-19 still a threat nationwide, then, a judge finally allowed for a compromise: that he could be deposed virtually, via a Zoom<\/strong> video call. And according to the outlet, the whole thing went to hell in a hand basket almost immedia<\/a>tely.<\/p>\n

Per reported court filings that include the actual transcript of the deposition, the star went OFF on MyChannel attorney Michael Popok<\/strong>, calling him \u201cboy\u201d at least 12 times during the heated deposition. The whole interview only lasted 10 minutes, too, with \u2018Ye quickly becoming fed up and shutting off his computer to terminate things.<\/p>\n

In those few minutes, the 44-year-old reportedly would not stop playing with his phone, only looking up to ask Popok \u201cif he was f**king stupid.\u201d While refusing to answer any<\/em> questions (not good, Kanye!), the dad of four apparently referred to his own \u201cmental genius-ness\u201d and dismissed the entire process off hand.<\/p>\n

At one point, Yeezy even told Popok that \u201che was lucky\u201d to be deposing \u201cthe richest Black man in America and a Black [Donald<\/strong>] Trump<\/strong> supporter,\u201d and that he \u201ccouldn\u2019t be bothered\u201d with the deposition because he had \u201clives (and diets) to change.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not sure what\u2019s up with that diets remark? Nice to see the musician is still<\/em> connecting himself to Trump, though. And by \u201cnice\u201d we mean really f**king shitty and<\/em> incredibly sleazy, but whatever\u2026<\/p>\n

Anyway, the deposition really<\/em> went to s**t when West suddenly \u201cput on a full-face hood and head covering adorned with Jesus Christ\u2019s image which obscured his face and muffled his voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Um\u2026 WTF?!<\/p>\n

Popok and the rest of the MyChannel legal team protested at that point, apparently saying they were unable to hear Kanye\u2019s muffled voice, but the rapper refused to remove the mask and allegedly claimed the lawyers \u201cdid not have the right to see his face.\u201d<\/p>\n

From there, he was said to have bragged on camera about \u201chow good he was doing obstructing the deposition\u201d while his lawyers allegedly looked on passively \u2014 unable or unwilling to rein in their client. (The Kanye-Trump connection grows deeper every day\u2026)<\/p>\n

In a reported statement as part of the court docs related to the deposition \u2014 which was recorded \u2014 another one of MyChannel\u2019s lawyers, Ben J. Meiselas<\/strong>, noted (below):<\/p>\n

\u201cWest\u2019s bad faith efforts to sabotage the deposition will be viewed by the Court as one of the most outrageous and inappropriate deposition performances it has observed as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then, after Kanye abruptly cut off his camera and shut down his computer, ending the deposition, all one of his lawyers could reportedly say in response was:<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was some crazy s**t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yeah\u2026<\/p>\n

In response, MyChannel is now reportedly pushing for an in-person deposition in court next month. They\u2019re also apparently seeking a $63,000 sanction against the rapper. Should be no problem for \u201cthe richest Black man in America,\u201d right?<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be interesting to see the potential fallout from this, though. It\u2019s one thing for us to gawk at it, but a judge certainly won\u2019t take kindly to these alleged actions.<\/p>\n

The timing of this report is also interesting, as it claims West underwent this ill-fated deposition early last week. As we previously reported, he returned to a New Jersey airport from a romantic getaway to France with new girlfriend\u00a0Irina Shayk\u00a0<\/strong>last Wednesday \u2014 so was he deposed while on vacation with her?! That\u2019s no fun!<\/p>\n
