The story follows the relationship of Sherman (Black) and Will (Cube) after Sherman falls in love with Will\u2019s mom. While the synopsis is pretty vague, one can only cringe at the premise. However, that can make for some great comedy, especially with the right people on board.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Filmmaker <strong>Kitao Sakurai<\/strong> (<em>Bad <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trip<\/a><\/em>) is set to direct while the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> comes from writers <strong>Scot<\/strong> <strong>Armstrong<\/strong> (<em>Old School<\/em>), <strong>Tracy Oliver<\/strong> (<em>Girls Trip<\/em>), <strong>Jessica Gao<\/strong> (<em>She-Hulk<\/em>), and <strong>Rodney Rothman<\/strong> (<em>Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s really refreshing to see a diverse group of writers behind the script and Ice Cube seems like a perfect foil to the types of off-the-wall characters played by Black. As a fan of N.W.A,\u00a0<em>Friday<\/em>, <em>Anaconda<\/em> (yeah, I said it) and, <em>Boyz in the Hood<\/em>, I\u2019m actually looking forward to Ice Cube check Jack Black in a presumably outrageous comedy. Sakurai also has a long history of comedy \u2013 he was the director and executive producer for several seasons of Adult Swim\u2019s <em>The Eric Andre Show<\/em> from 2012-2020. He also recently directed episodes for the second season of FX comedy\u00a0<em>Dave<\/em>\u00a0and BJ Novak\u2019s upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>\u00a0<em>Platform<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-396577 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/fistfight-icecube-threefingers-700x320.jpg\" alt=\"Fist Fight Trailer - Ice Cube\" width=\"700\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/fistfight-icecube-threefingers-700x320.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/fistfight-icecube-threefingers-360x165.jpg 360w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/fistfight-icecube-threefingers.jpg 1319w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Love_is_a_Battlefield\"><\/span>Love is a Battlefield<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I can only assume there will be a lot of conflict in this film between Sherman and Will. Given the writing crew, it could be a combination of insults, witty humor, satire, and slapstick. However, I do embrace the notion that we could see a love story between an older woman and a younger man. While there are no details on who will play Will\u2019s mom, it will be entertaining to see how that on-screen chemistry (or lack thereof) will unfold.<\/p>\n<p>There are few films that successfully capture romances with large age differences and that allow women to age without judgment. The ultimate (and one of my favorite films ever) is <em>Harold and Maude<\/em>. The 1971 Hal Ashby dark-comedy classic has an authentic heart that is difficult to replicate in today\u2019s age without seeming corny or predatory. So, at first glance, my reaction to this new film was on par with its title and was emphasized by my long Texas drawl. But I\u2019m ultimately rooting for it!
