Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to take a massive $10.75 million loss on his New York City Trump Tower condo following backlash, The Post can report.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Portuguese soccer star, 36, first purchased the three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom unit at 721 Fifth Avenue in 2015 for a whopping $18.5 million \u2014 before Donald Trump was elected president of the United States.<\/p>\n

But fans\u2019 calls<\/a> to have the Juventus footballer sell the residence have app<\/a>arently hit him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ronaldo first listed the 2,510-square-foot abode in 2019 for less than half of what he bought it for, at $9 million. But without any offers and amid a looming pandemic, the athlete\u00a0has been forced to slash the price even further.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On May 19, property records reveal\u00a0that the home is now on the market for only $7.75 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His reps have not returned The Post\u2019s request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While this poses a significant loss for Ronaldo, he is probably not sweating it too much. In 2020, he became the first active team-sport athlete to surpass $1 billion in career earnings, according to Forbes<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His four-year contract with Juventus alone is worth an average of $64 million a year and expires in 2022.<\/p>\n

The residence is also known to be the inspiration for\u00a0\u201c50 Shades\u2019\u2019 novel author E.L. James, who used the interior\u00a0as a model for the notorious bondage bachelor pad of her fictional sexual sadist character, Christian Grey, sources previously told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mostly made up of\u00a0burnished koa wood-paneling, the living spaces are enhanced with 18th-century parquet de Versaille floors, according to the listing.\u00a0It also boasts panoramic views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The main bedroom has an\u00a0en suite marble bath, a separate shower and an expansive dressing room.\u00a0<\/p>\n
