“#Mugen Train to Stream on Funimation<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Funimation announced that it will stream Demon Slayer \u2013 Kimetsu No Yaiba \u2013 The Movie: Mugen Train<\/em> movie exclusively beginning June 22 in the United States and Canada, and on June 23 in Australia and New Zealand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The film was released in North America beginning April 23. Since May 23, it has grossed over $43,956,487, becoming the second top-grossing anime<\/a> movie in the United States.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mugen Train<\/em>, which released in Japan in October 2020 and in the US in April 2021, is a sequel to the\u00a0Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba-<\/i>\u00a0anime series<\/a>, which aired in 2019 with 26 episodes and is set to receive a second anime season in 2021. Both are based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was first serialized in 2016 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and ended with 211 chapters in 2020 with a total of 23 tank\u014dbon volumes published.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a \u201cdemon slayer\u201d so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Funimation describes\u00a0Mugen Train<\/em>\u00a0as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive to their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disapp<\/a>eared in a very short period of time.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, join one of the most powerful swordsmen within the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train on track to despair.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n
