This brisk trailer packs in <em>a lot<\/em>. In addition to our first glimpse of <strong>John de Lancie<\/strong> reprising his role as Q, everyone\u2019s favorite powerful, god-like entity, we get a confused Jean-Luc Picard (<strong>Patrick Stewart<\/strong>), a de-Borged Seven of Nine (<strong>Jeri Ryan<\/strong>), and lots of other things to speculate about.<\/p>\n<p>As Picard says right at the beginning: \u201cWhat the hell is h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening here?\u201d A whole hell of a lot, Jean-Luc. Picard is less than thrilled to see Q, and who could blame him; the entity has been a nuisance to Jean-Luc and the rest of the Federation since <em>The Next Generation<\/em>. He could also be miffed because Q said he looked old, which is very rude, even for a seemingly all-powerful being. Picard is.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We then see Picard, in uniform, at Starfleet Command. This is confusing at first because, in season 1, he was officially retired. He looks anything but retired here \u2014 he\u2019s very much in charge standing at that podium and addressing his colleagues. Is this a flashback? Or did Picard go back into service? The eight dots on his turtleneck suggest he\u2019s at least an admiral, which was his rank when he retired. Given his position behind the Very Important Podium, however, it\u2019s not a stretch to think he\u2019s Starfleet\u2019s head honcho. She looks very shocked and concerned. We see her sporting a kickass caped pantsuit, a sci-fi fashion choice (see Tessa Thompson in <em>Westworld<\/em>) that I desperately hope makes it to our timeline. Soji (or maybe it\u2019s her sister, Dahj?) is looking serious by a fountain, as one does. A close-up shot also reveals two pins: one is two linked circles, an obvious reference to the necklace she and her sister wore in season 1. His badge has a definite Starfleet shape, but looks more like a spearhead than other designs we\u2019ve seen. She wakes up startled in bed, her hand strategically placed over half her face.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-677406 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Picard-mystery-insignia-e1623956411647-700x288.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Picard-mystery-insignia-e1623956411647.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Picard-mystery-insignia-e1623956411647-360x148.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_That_Thing\"><\/span>What is That Thing?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Seven stumbles out of bed, clearly confused. As we follow her, we get a close-up image of an insignia: a crescent moon overlayed with a four-pointed star that doesn\u2019t <em>not <\/em>look like an upside down cross. What this references is pure speculation at this point \u2014 Rios\u2019 badge looks like a mashup of this badge and the Starfleet one we\u2019re used to. Maybe Seven is in the \u201cpast\u201d (AKA our present), as the <em>Picard <\/em>poster highlighting current day Los Angeles suggests? If that\u2019s the case, this insignia may be the precursor of the one we see on Rios. Or maybe it\u2019s an alternative timeline take on the Borg insignia? That makes less sense, however, given what we see next.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-677407 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Seven-no-Borg-Picard-e1623956520389-700x330.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Seven-no-Borg-Picard-e1623956520389.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Seven-no-Borg-Picard-e1623956520389-360x170.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Seven has no Borg hardware! Which means we should probably call her Annika Hansen instead, since in this timeline she\u2019s never been assimilated. Her confusion about being Borgless also shows that at least some of the <em>Picard<\/em> crew (Rios also seemed similarly confused) have memories of their old lives. Picard is promising to get them all back to the OG timeline, but will Seven\/Annika <em>want<\/em> to go back? There, she will have to go through the pain and horror of being assimilated and living under Borg control for decades.
