To be fair, the project was previously going under a different name \u2013\u00a0<em>Power<\/em>. It was also completed in 2018 and has been sitting around since then, which isn\u2019t exactly the most encouraging sign. In\u00a0<em>Project Power<\/em>, there\u2019s a new pill that has the ability to unlock superpowers unique to each user. But of course, there\u2019s a catch. Watch the\u00a0<em>Project Power<\/em> trailer below.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Project_Power_Trailer\"><\/span><strong>Project Power Trailer<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xw1vQgVaYNQ?feature=oembed\" width=\"740\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Time for a new Netflix movie!\u00a0<em>Project Power<\/em> hails from a hot spec <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> courtesy of\u00a0<strong>Mattson Tomlin<\/strong>, one of the writers of the upcoming\u00a0<em>The Batman<\/em>. Netflix scooped up the script back in 2017, beating several big studios to the punch.\u00a0<strong>Henry Joost<\/strong> and <strong>Ariel Schulman<\/strong>, directors of\u00a0<em>Catfish<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Parnormal Activity 3<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Nerve<\/em>,\u00a0helm the film, which stars Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and <strong>Dominique Fishback<\/strong>. Here\u2019s the synopsis:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don\u2019t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I like this set up, and I like seeing Gordon-Levitt on screen again. Still, the fact that this has been sitting around, completed since 2018, makes me a little uneasy. Sometimes a long-delayed film turns out to be a great surprise (see:\u00a0<em>The Cabin in the Woods<\/em>). But more often than not, it\u2019s a sign that things didn\u2019t work out so well.
