“#Foo Fighters fight off anti-vax protesters before NYC show<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Foo Fighters? More like Fool<\/em> Fighters. <\/p>\n

Protesters descended on the Canyon Club in San Fernando Valley, California, Tuesday before the rock band was scheduled to perform for a sold-out crowd of 600, according to local reports<\/a>. It would be one of their first live, indoor shows since the coronavirus pandemic began and required fans to show proof of vaccination to be able to attend.<\/p>\n

But several dozen anti-vaxxers picketed outside of the Los Angeles venue, carrying signs that pushed anti-scientific propaganda such as \u201cFoo Fighters fight to bring segregation back\u201d and \u201cCOVID-19 vaccine makers are exempt from liability.\u201d Among the angry mob was former child star and conspiracy theorist Ricky Schroder, who made headlines in May for harassing a Costco employee<\/a> about the store\u2019s mask policy and, last November, for posting bail for Kenosha, Wisconsin, shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.<\/p>\n

The news<\/a> comes ahead of the Foo Fighters\u2019 upcoming show at Manhattan\u2019s Madison Square Garden on June 20, which also requires full COVID-19 vaccination for entry. <\/p>\n

\u201cSeparating humans is not OK,\u201d one protester\u00a0told KCAL News<\/a>. \u201cThose of us who have healthy immune systems should be able to enjoy these freedoms just like everybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n

One anti-vax campaigner later wrote on Instagram<\/a> that the \u201cLearn To Fly\u201d band had \u201cheld a discriminatory \u2018VACCINATED ONLY\u2019 show\u201d and went on to claim that a Canyon Club employee, an officer with the LA sheriff\u2019s department and a \u201croadie\u201d with the Foo Fighters had expressed support for their cause. <\/p>\n

However, the many fans permitted to see the group that night had a different take on the protests. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe crap these Anti-Vaxxers are saying are hilarious! \ud83d\ude02\ud83e\udd23,\u201d said one attendee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Post reached out to the band\u2019s representatives via email, who responded, \u201cNo comment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets have already sold out for the MSG event.<\/p>\n
