It\u2019s the final stretch!<\/p>\n

Mayoral contender Kathryn Garcia on Sunday struck several yoga poses in Father Duffy Square, as the twisting and turning mayoral primary comes to a close. <\/p>\n

\u201cNew Yorkers can do anything \u2014 including finding their inner peace in the middle of Times Square or in the midst of a mayoral campaign,\u201d Garcia said in a statement. <\/p>\n

\u201cLooking forward to doing Times Square Yoga again as mayor.\u201d <\/p>\n

Garcia \u2014 who has been in the top tier of the race, according to recent polls \u2014 performed the mountain, side angle, warrior II, upward dog, and dancer poses, during the one-hour outdoor class that began about 7:30 a.m.. <\/p>\n

The Times Square Alliance-organized stretch session at 47th Street and 7th Avenue came on the last day of early voting \u2014 just two days ahead of the Tuesday Democratic mayoral primary Tuesday, when candidates in the close race will not be breathing as deeply as the former sanitation commissioner was Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

After the early-morning exercise, Garcia joined her father, Bruce McIver, to cast his early vote at a polling site on West 59th Street, according to her campaign schedule and tweets.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Garcia joined fellow candidate Andrew Yang for a pair of campaign events, and received the former entrepreneur\u2019s second-choice endorsement. Garcia, however, did not return the favor, urging voters to head to the polls to rank candidates while not instructing her supporters whom to put on their ballots. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are campaigning together, we are promoting rank-choice voting,\u201d Garcia said in lower Manhattan, alongside Yang. \u201cI certainly do not agree with everything that Andrew has said.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
