And the latter comes as the team is currently down its boss, with Leroy Jethro Gibbs (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/mark-harmon\">Mark Harmon<\/a>) indefinitely suspended. (We also don\u2019t know if Harmon will be around full-time or part-time in Season 19. Either way, there\u2019s room for a new character.)<\/p>\n<p>With rumors of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/gary-cole\">Gary Cole<\/a> potentially joining the cast (in an unknown role) and of him not being the only possible addition, we take a look at the areas in which a new (recurring or series regular) character could pop up in Season 19.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_Interim_Boss\"><\/span>New Interim Boss<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Even if Harmon is around full-time next season <em>and<\/em> Gibbs does return to work (however that h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens), chances are the season will start with him still badge-less. While Timothy McGee (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/sean-murray\">Sean Murray<\/a>) could easily continue to fill in, there\u2019s also the possibility that Director Leon Vance (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/rocky-carroll\">Rocky Carroll<\/a>) brings in someone else either temporarily or permanently (or \u201cpermanently,\u201d as things can always change). After all, we don\u2019t know what the team will need, especially since no one can handle everything tech-related like McGee.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_Team_Members\"><\/span>New Team Members<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>While McGee can continue to serve as the team leader in Gibbs\u2019 absence, he and Nick Torres (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/wilmer-valderrama\">Wilmer Valderrama<\/a>) can\u2019t be a team of two for long. With the loss of Bishop, someone has to come in to replace her, either via a rotating roster of agents, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/katrina-law\">Katrina Law\u2019s<\/a> Jessica Knight possibly becoming a permanent fixture (after meeting the team during the penultimate episode\u2019s case then helping out in the Season 18 finale), or a new, permanent teammate. In the finale, he and investigative reporter Marcie Warren (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/pam-dawber\">Pam Dawber<\/a>) were closing in on a serial killer. That\u2019s presumably linked to his boat exploding at the end of the season. Isn\u2019t it about time that we put a face to that character? We don\u2019t know yet how much longer that storyline will go, but even if it\u2019s just for an episode or two, chances are the character will appear on-screen.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_Faces_Around_the_Office\"><\/span>New Faces Around the Office<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Season 19 could introduce new team-adjacent characters. After all, Jack didn\u2019t just work with the team. Forensic scientist Kasie Hines (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/diona-reasonover\">Diona Reasonover<\/a>) could use help in the lab, but <em>not<\/em> like Abby Sciuto (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/pauley-perrette\">Pauley Perrette<\/a>) got from Chip (Michael Bellisario), who framed Tony DiNozzo (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/michael-weatherly\">Michael Weatherly<\/a>) for murder in Season 3.
