What kinds of dinosaurs, you may ask? Well, I have answers for you!<\/p>\n<p>Director\u00a0<strong>Colin Trevorrow <\/strong>worked with Industrial Light and Magic to create a sequence that shows seven new species of dinosaurs in their natural habitat circa 65 million years ago. Those dinosaurs go by pretty quickly \u2014 it\u2019s a short piece of footage, after all \u2014 and for dinosaur enthusiasts who, like avid birders, want to chronicle each sighting, I\u2019ve put together a dino-spotting checklist.<\/p>\n<p>Before you check out the preview this weekend, give this list a careful read (or print it out and bring it to the theater with you!). When it comes to dino-spotting, it\u2019s best to be prepared.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dreadnoughtus\"><\/span><strong>Dreadnoughtus<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As its name suggests, this <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dreadnoughtus\">sauropod<\/a> is big. Really big. Estimates put this Titanosaurus at 85 feet long, 20 feet high to the shoulder, and weighing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roximately 65 tons. The name is an intimidating one for an herbivore, but when you\u2019re one of the largest terrestrial vertebrates ever known, you\u2019re kind of a big deal and shouldn\u2019t be afraid to show it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-677895 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Jurassic-World-Dominion-Footage-700x321.jpg\" alt=\"Jurassic World Dominion Footage\" width=\"700\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Jurassic-World-Dominion-Footage-700x321.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Jurassic-World-Dominion-Footage-360x165.jpg 360w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Jurassic-World-Dominion-Footage-768x352.jpg 768w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Jurassic-World-Dominion-Footage.jpg 948w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quetzalcoatlus\"><\/span><strong>Quetzalcoatlus<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Quetzalcoatlus\">Quetzalcoatlus<\/a> is a pterosaur, which means they could fly. Flying might not seem like a big deal to you (birds do it all the time!) but Quetzalcoatlus, with its 36-foot wingspan, was huge. Like other pterosaurs, they were quadrupeds when moving on the ground. Unlike other flying dinosaur species, however, Quetzalcoatlus\u2019 limb proportions were more like a gazelle\u2019s. What does that mean? Those who know better than me suggest they could have been more comfortable on land than other prehistoric flyers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-677905 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Oviraptor-700x467.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Oviraptor.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Oviraptor-360x240.jpeg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Oviraptor\"><\/span><strong>Oviraptor<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 --><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oviraptor\">Oviraptors<\/a> are another appropriately named dinosaur: they loved to eat eggs. They were smaller dinosaurs, coming in at around five feet long and weighing around 80 pounds. Oviraptors were also feathered and had a horny beak like a parrot\u2019s, making them look decidedly bird-like. The one in the\u00a0<em>Dominion<\/em> preview is feathered up and looks like a prehistoric rooster, albeit a rooster that could still likely beat up a human\u2026.even those humans who think <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/today.yougov.com\/topics\/lifestyle\/articles-reports\/2021\/05\/13\/lions-and-tigers-and-bears-what-animal-would-win-f\">they\u2019d win a fight against a goose<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-677906 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Nasutoceratops-700x486.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Nasutoceratops.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Nasutoceratops-360x250.jpeg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nasutoceratops\"><\/span><strong>Nasutoceratops<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nasutoceratops\">Nasutoceratops<\/a>, whose name translates into \u201cbig-nosed, horned face,\u201d is a close relation to the very popular triceratops. The large herbivores previously found their way into the <em>Jurassic<\/em> universe through the video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> <em>Jurassic World: Evolution<\/em>. No one knows why they have their horns, though the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nhmu.utah.edu\/newsdesk\/releases\/big-nosed-long-horned-dinosaur-discovered-utah\">popular theory<\/a> is that they were \u201cvisual signals of dominance\u201d that could also mess you up if you got too close.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-677902 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Iguanadon-700x363.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"363\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Iguanadon.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Iguanadon-360x187.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Iguanodon\"><\/span><strong>Iguanodon<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Iguanodon\">Iguanodons<\/a> were herbivores and were thought to be both bipedal and quadrupedal depending on their mood. They weigh about 3.4 tons and were 33-43 feet long. Iguanodons have narrow skulls and, as their name suggests, teeth similar to an iguana\u2019s. People call it the \u201ctiny tyrannosaurus\u201d because is (kind of) tiny. Coming in at approximately 170 pounds and approximately deer-sized, it certainly was smaller than the popular T-Rex. It also was around before other tyrannosaurs and was likely the ancestor to Tyrannosaurus Rex. In the preview, you see an Interpidus nibbling between the teeth of a much larger dinosaur. And that larger dinosaur is\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-677903 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Gigantosaurus-700x361.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Gigantosaurus.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/Gigantosaurus-360x186.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Giganotosaurus\"><\/span><strong>Giganotosaurus<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>That bigger dinosaur happens to be the biggest of them all \u2014 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Giganotosaurus\">Giganotosaurus<\/a>. Colin Trevorrow had been holding back having the largest known terrestrial carnivore in the <em>Jurassic World<\/em> franchise\u2026until now.
