Investor Kenneth Fedance purchased $3,000 worth of FLiK and sued the pair in 2019, accusing them of three securities violations in the U.S. Northern District Court of Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents filed in the U.S. 11th Circuit show on Monday (June 21) show circuit judge William Pryor, district judge Emily Coody Marks and chief judge Robert J. Luck supported a decision by a lower court to dismiss the complaint. In the documents, judge William Pryor even referenced hit singles from T.I.\u2019s <em>Paper Trail<\/em> and <em>T.I. vs. T.I.P.<\/em> albums.<\/p>\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\" style=\"margin: 10px 0 11px -10px\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit\u201c300\u201d\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            CMNUNT.load(\"content-b\", { \n                                containerid: \"contentUnit\u201c300\u201d\",\n                                keywords: \"section_post_inarticle\",\n                                lazyLoad: true\n                            });\n                        }\n                    <\/script>\u201cAnyone in Fedance\u2019s position could say \u2018You Know What It Is,\u2019\u201d he wrote. \u201cIn conclusory fashion, Fedance alleges that neither he nor putative class members could bring claims for the sale of unregistered securities within the one-year limitations period because Felton and Harris fraudulently concealed the facts necessary to reach the legal conclusion that FLiK Tokens were securities. But you cannot make fraudulent concealment mean \u2018Whatever You Like.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Hart was named in the documents among a number of celebrities for promoting FLiK on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2020, T.I. was ordered to pay $75,000 for his involvement in cryptocurrency fraud and not participate in offerings or sales of digital-asset securities for five years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Harris regrets his involvement with Mr. Felton,\u201d a spokesperson for T.I. told <em>HipHopDX<\/em> at the time. \u201cHe attempted to help a local entrepreneur who presented an innovative idea for a streaming online platform that would help reduce the barriers of entry for creators of music and video content. Regrettably, Mr. Felton apparently never built the platform he promised T.I. and many others, and instead sought to profit from Mr. Harris\u2019s popularity and reputation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\" style=\"margin: 10px 0 11px -10px\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit\u201c400\u201d\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            CMNUNT.load(\"content-b\", { \n                                containerid: \"contentUnit\u201c400\u201d\",\n                                keywords: \"section_post_inarticle\",\n                                lazyLoad: true\n                            });\n                        }\n                    <\/script>\u201cMr. Harris never took a dollar from Mr. Felton\u2019s failed venture and immediately removed his name from it once he learned that the project was undeveloped. Mr. Harris responded to all inquiries made by the SEC, and the settlement announced [Friday] is in full satisfaction of that investigation.
