And though the\u00a0<strong><em>The Marvels<\/em><\/strong> is looking to be a pretty crowded ensemble piece featuring not only the return of\u00a0<strong>Brie Larson<\/strong> as Carol Danvers but young\u00a0Muslim superhero Ms. Marvel (<strong>Iman Vellani<\/strong>), the sequel still plans to expand on the character dynamics introduced in\u00a0<em>Captain Marvel<\/em> and\u00a0<em>WandaVision<\/em>, particularly pertaining to Monica Rambeau.<\/p>\n<p>Parris made her debut as the S.W.O.R.D. agent and future superhero in\u00a0<em>WandaVision<\/em>, where we saw her gain her powers as well as deal with the trauma of losing her mother Maria. But there were still a few unanswered threads with Monica after\u00a0<em>WandaVision<\/em> wr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed up its story: what will Monica do with her newfound superpowers? Why did she bristle at Carol Danvers\u2019 name when she idolized her as a child? Those threads will be picked up in\u00a0<em>The Marvels<\/em>, in which Parris is set to reprise her role as Monica Rambeau and expand on the character dynamics teased in both\u00a0<em>Captain Marvel<\/em> and\u00a0<em>WandaVision<\/em>.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->In an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/awards\/news\/teyonah-parris-wandavision-the-marvels-1235002628\/\">Variety<\/a>, Parris revealed how\u00a0<em>The Marvels<\/em> will expand on what we saw of the relationship between Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLittle Monica had a relationship with Carol Danvers, and we\u2019ll get to see what happens with that relationship, and how or if, it brings them to the present.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Parris added, \u201cWith Monica, we\u2019ve established who she is in <em>WandaVision<\/em>, and in <em>The Marvels<\/em>, we have an opportunity to further understand who this woman is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Monica was the daughter of Carol Danvers\u2019 best friend, Air Force pilot\u00a0Maria Rambeau (played by <strong>Lashana Lynch<\/strong> in <em>Captain Marvel<\/em>), who had just recovered from cancer when we first meet Monica in\u00a0<em>WandaVision<\/em>. But Monica disappears from her mother\u2019s hospital bedside during the Blip (damn you, Thanos), and returns five years later to discover that her mother\u2019s cancer had returned, killing her while Monica was gone. As she passed the mantle on, Monica adopted a slew of other superhero aliases, including Spectrum and Photon \u2014 the latter of which is the pilot callsign of Monica\u2019s mother Maria in\u00a0<em>Captain Marvel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<em>Captain Marvel<\/em>, child Monica Rambeau quickly came to adore Carol Danvers after the former Air Force pilot reunited with her friend Maria and recovered her memories. But following the events of\u00a0<em>Captain Marvel<\/em>, which was a prequel that took place during the \u201990s, Carol Danvers leaves for outer space and doesn\u2019t return, which might have stung Monica over the years, as she was raised by a single mother who later grew sickly.<\/p>\n<p>All the way back during \/Film\u2019s\u00a0<em>Captain Marvel<\/em>\u00a0set visit, producer\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Schwartz<\/strong>\u00a0hinted that \u201cthere\u2019s more story to tell with Monica,\u201d saying, \u201cI hope there\u2019s more story to tell with Monica, certainly the movie leaves it open for that stuff.
