A cyclist was in critical condition after being struck by a car near Brooklyn\u2019s Prospect Park on Wednesday, cops said.<\/p>\n

The adult victim was hit on the Grand Army Plaza oval just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.<\/p>\n

A black Hyundai Elantra was involved in the impact, which shattered a large portion of its front windshield.<\/p>\n

The unidentified victim was taken to Methodist Hospital, the NYPD said.<\/p>\n

It was not clear on Wednesday night whether the driver would face charges in connection with the incident.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
