After sharing his initial shocked reaction to news<\/a> of a Supernatural<\/em><\/a> spinoff (involving Jensen Ackles<\/a>), Jared Padalecki<\/a> went on Twitter<\/a> to make sure fans know to keep things civil.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey world. Thank you for the love,\u201d he wrote in his latest tweet. \u201cPlease PLEASE don\u2019t send any hate or threats. I care deeply about everybody involved and would be in true misery if any of them were harmed or threatened.\u201d<\/p>\n

His comments come after news broke on June 24 that Jensen Ackles \u2014 who starred as Dean Winchester, alongside Padalecki\u2019s Sam for 15 seasons \u2014 and his wife Danneel Ackles have a Supernatural<\/em> prequel in the works at the CW. They would executive produce alongside Supernatural<\/em> co-executive producer Robbie Thompson, who is attached to write.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore Sam and Dean, there was John and Mary,\u201d the logline reads, according to Deadline<\/em><\/a>. \u201cTold from the perspective of narrator Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), The Winchesters<\/em> is the epic, untold love story of how John met Mary and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.\u201d (Jeffrey Dean Morgan<\/a> and Samantha Smith<\/a> played John and Mary on Supernatural<\/em>, while Matt Cohen<\/a> and Amy Gumenick<\/a> took on the roles in flashbacks.)<\/p>\n

But it seems that was news to Padalecki, as he shared on Twitter when he quote-tweeted Ackles\u2019 post on Thursday. \u201cDude. Happ<\/a>y for you,\u201d he wrote. \u201cWish I heard about this some way other than Twitter. I\u2019m excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n
