Anyone who still can\u2019t see the danger in promoting racial thinking in America\u2019s schools \u2014 particularly of the sort that underlies critical race theory \u2014 should listen to Novalee.<\/p>\n

In a video circulating this week, a 9-year-old Minnesota girl who refers to herself by that name lectures school-board members about how she normally doesn\u2019t think about \u201cthe color of skin,\u201d but the Black Lives Matter posters they put up in her school \u201cmake me think of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The brave youngster also accuses the board of violating its own rules against politics in the schools by posting the signs, which send \u201ca political message about getting rid of police officers, rioting, burning buildings down.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yet for most Americans, it\u2019s her descript<\/a>ion of how the board\u2019s action is corrupting her normal tendency to judge people based on their character, rather than their race, that should hit home, especially as schools across America rush to adopt critical race theory.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not judge people by the color of their skin\u201d but \u201cby the way they treat me,\u201d explains Novalee. \u201cI have Asian, Mexican, white, Chinese, black friends, and . . . I like them because some of them make me laugh, some are sweet and kind, sporty or share the love of God. They are just my friends.\u201d <\/p>\n

CRT not only discourages such open-minded, inclusive thinking, it pushes whites to believe they are racist and blacks to feel oppressed. That\u2019s not just an outrageously false portrayal of America but a prescription for driving the nation apart. <\/p>\n

It shouldn\u2019t take a 9-year-old to get adults to see that.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
