A new face is coming to Chicago for Season 5 of The Good Figh<\/em>t: CCH Pounder will be joining the show\u2019s cast for multiple episodes.<\/p>\n

Having recently finished a seven-season run as Dr. Loretta Wade on NCIS: New Orleans<\/em>, Pounder will play Vinetta, a Chicago native looking for justice after a crime spike in her neighborhood, on the Paramount+ drama, TVLine<\/a><\/em> reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve wanted to work with CCH Pounder for years, and couldn\u2019t be more thrilled that she\u2019s bringing her incredible talents to playing Vinetta,\u201d series<\/a> creators Robert and Michelle King said.<\/p>\n

Pounder\u2019s casting comes after two major departures \u2014 Cush Jumbo (who played Lucca Quinn) and Delroy Lindo (who played Adrian Boseman) \u2014 in the Season 5 premiere. She joins other new faces this season including Mandy Patinkin, Wayne Brady, Wanda Sykes, and Charmaine Bingwa.<\/p>\n

In addition to NCIS: New Orleans<\/em>, Pounder\u2019s TV credits include ER<\/em>, The Shield<\/em>, Law & Order: SVU<\/em>, and Warehouse 13<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Good Fight<\/em> Season 5 sees Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) questioning whether or not it is app<\/a>ropriate to help run an African American law firm alongside Liz Reddick (Audra McDonald). \u201cThere\u2019s plenty of drama [and] questions around that between Liz and Diane,\u201d Nyambi Nyambi<\/a> (who plays investigator Jay Dipersia) told TV Insider. \u201cThat\u2019s a huge, huge<\/em> part of our season.\u201d<\/p>\n
