Every app is different, and some might not offer this feature. Check your smart plug\u2019s app to see whether it has this feature.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you already own an Alexa device, you can\u00a0connect your smart plug to Alexa and set up the scheduling using Alexa Routines.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Schedule_a_Smart_Plug_with_Alexa\"><\/span>How to Schedule a Smart Plug with Alexa<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before you start scheduling, make sure that your smart plug is connected in the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet. You must choose another time besides 8:00 a.m. or sunrise or sunset this time.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat all of the previous steps until you get to the page where you have to tap the toggle switch to schedule your smart plug to turn on or off. Make sure that the switch is set to off this time.
