It’s time to once again head into the world of\u00a0Fa’Diel in the newly announced anime adaptation of the 1999 video game<\/a>\u00a0Legend of Mana<\/strong><\/em>. The anime series<\/a>, titled\u00a0Legend of Mana \u2013 The Teardrop Crystal –<\/strong><\/em>, is in production to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mana<\/strong><\/em> video game series. The first teaser visual for the anime was released with a very familiar tree to coincide with the news<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Legend of Mana \u2013 The Teardrop Crystal –<\/strong><\/em> is based on the 4th game in the Mana<\/strong><\/em> video game that originally released on the PlayStation. The game got a remaster this year on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, which release on June 24.\u00a0Graphinica<\/strong> and Yokohama Animation Laboratory<\/strong>, who produced the animation for the remastered version’s opening movie, will also be producing the animation for the anime.<\/p>\n

Producer on the Mana series at Square Enix,\u00a0Masaru Oyamada<\/strong>, had this to say about the announcement:<\/p>\n

When the animation project was first pitched to me, the remastering of \u201c<\/em>Legend of Mana\u201d was not even in discussions. I initially attended the meeting without deep thoughts, but when Mr. Yawata from Warner Bros. Japan passionately pitched the \u201c<\/em>Legend of Mana\u201d animation project (with so much love), I realized I need to create the game as soon as I can.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So rumor has it, that\u2019s how the HD remaster project began.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fans of the \u201c<\/em>Legend of Mana\u201d, please be assured. The people involved in the project still have the love for the series just the same as back then.<\/em><\/p>\n
