Microsoft\u2018s Xbox Cloud Gaming, also known as xCloud, has slowly been expanding its reach, starting out as an Android app<\/a> and recently making its way to PCs and Apple devices via the browser. So far, PC and iOS access has been limited to a few users with invites, but that\u2019s changing today. All Xbox Game<\/a> Pass Ultimate members can now stream games using practically any modern device.<\/p>\n

Microsoft says xCloud officially works in\u00a0Edge, Chrome, and Safari browsers on both desktop and mobile devices, and is currently available in 22 countries. Moreover, Microsoft says the service is now powered by custom Xbox Series<\/a> X units, which will provide \u201cfaster load times, improved frame rates, and an experience of a new generation of gaming.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

While the company doesn\u2019t\u00a0explicitly say Xbox Series X exclusives are coming to xCloud, the new hardware certainly makes that a strong possibility. In the meantime, games will be streaming at 1080p up to 60 fps, and Microsoft notes that it\u2019ll continue to add features to improve the service down the road. The company also highlighted the first \u2018Designed for Xbox\u2019 iPhone controller<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to try out the service yourself, you can sign up at xbox.com\/play<\/a>. It costs $14.99 a month and you\u2019ll just need an approved controller<\/a>\u00a0if you don\u2019t have a touchscreen.<\/p>\n
