An NYPD officer was shot in the shoulder with a BB gun outside of a public housing complex on Staten Island Monday night, police said.<\/p>\n

Two uniformed neighborhood coordination officers were targeted by an unknown suspect after leaving a building at NYCHA\u2019s Richmond Terrace Houses at about 7:40 p.m., according to police.<\/p>\n

One of the officers was struck by a BB as the duo were entering their marked patrol car, police said.<\/p>\n

The officer who was hit suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
