“#Kaiju No. 8 Manga<\/a> Moves to a Temporary Fortnightly Schedule<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Naoya Matsumoto<\/strong>, the manga creator behind the hit\u00a0Shonen Jump+ manga series<\/a>\u00a0Kaiju No. 8<\/strong><\/em>, announced<\/span><\/a> on Twitter<\/a> last Friday\u00a0that the series will be moving to a fortnightly schedule “for a while.”<\/strong> The series has previously been released every Friday on the digital\u00a0Shonen Jump+ platform\u00a0but after the 38th chapter, which released last Friday, new chapters will only be released once every two weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Matsumoto\u00a0<\/strong>apologized to fans in the Tweet and only said that the move is due to “schedule adjustments.” With only\u00a0three volumes of the series being\u00a0collected and released so far,\u00a0Kaiju No. 8<\/strong><\/em> has already printed (physically) and sold (digitally) over 3 million copies, making it the fastest-selling manga<\/span><\/a> from the Shonen Jump+ platform ever.\u00a0The 4th volume scheduled to be released in Japan on September 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Viz Media is simulpubbing the series on their Shonen Jump service and\u00a0releasing<\/span><\/a>\u00a0the first volume in English in Fall 2021. They describe it as such:<\/p>\n
