Technically, it\u2019s a movie, but the announcement also came with the claim that the \u201cunique concept represents a property that could encompass not only a tentpole film, but could reach beyond entertainment across multiple industries and businesses,\u201d which is a sentence that makes me want to die right now.\u00a0<em>Red One<\/em> is a Christmas movie, and Johnson will play a big muscular Santa Claus or something ridiculous like that. Today, while taking a break from lifting an entire truck over his head and eating raw whey powder, Johnson took to Instagram to tell us more about his latest business venture disguised as a motion picture.<\/p>\n<p>Before I go further, let me just add that I like Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock. He seems like a nice guy and he also seems like he could rip my arms off and beat me to death with them, so I would never dream of being on his bad side. That said, I would love it if Mr. Rock would try a little harder to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ly himself to his film roles. The best example of this would be Dave Bautista. He, too, is a wrestler-turned-actor, and time and time again, he challenges himself when he takes a film role. He seems to genuinely like the craft of acting. Johnson, in contrast, appears to only want to play himself over and over again, no matter what movie he\u2019s making. He also wants to turn whatever he\u2019s doing into a business venture. And hey, I get it \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a>\u00a0<em>are<\/em> a business, after all! I\u2019m not naive, I know how it works. But when we receive word about a new Dwayne Johnson movie like\u00a0<em>Red One<\/em>, and that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Borys_Kit\/status\/1409573418110832641\">announcement<\/a> that \u201cthe hope is to tie this to holiday branding and business ventures,\u201d I can\u2019t help but feel disheartened about the whole damn endeavor.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Anyway, after <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> of\u00a0<em>Red One<\/em> broke, Johnson took to his favorite platform \u2013 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tv\/CQrrF1tFOan\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=620f568b-7b85-47c6-862a-57e3cdc9cbb8\">Instagram<\/a> \u2013 to offer up some encouraging words about the project. The odd thing is\u2026we don\u2019t really know. There are no actual plot details yet. The current assumption is that the film will see Johnson play a very muscular Santa Claus, and honestly, that sounds about right. Someone, somewhere, was sitting around and said, \u201cThe Rock dressed as Santa might be funny, right?\u201d And a producer shrugged and said, \u201cSure.\u201d And now here we are.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_3 -->Beyond that, what we primarily know about\u00a0<em>Red One<\/em> is that it\u2019s \u201ca globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.\u201d <em>The Fast and the Furious<\/em>\u00a0writer\u00a0<strong>Chris Morgan\u00a0<\/strong>is handling the script, and as Johnson mentioned in his Instagram post above, there is a director lined up for the film, but they\u2019re holding back on that announcement.
