Venture capitalist and fashion-industry trailblazer Chris Burch has bought a $29 million \u201cvacation home\u201d in the Hamptons, The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

As Page Six first reported<\/a>, billionaire Burch \u2014 who co-founded womenswear behemoth Tory Burch with his then-wife, Tory, in 2004 \u2014 sold his stunning Hamptons estate for $15.5 million last year and headed to Miami Beach, where he bought a seven-bedroom mansion built in 1936 for $14.2\u2009million.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s planning to live in Florida, but we\u2019re told Burch \u201creally missed New York and the Hamptons,\u201d so he picked up 258 Horsemill Lane in Water Mill this month \u201cas a vacation home.\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told that with New York coming back to life after the lockdown, the 68-year-old is \u201cchomping at the bit\u201d to be back up north (and out east).<\/p>\n

The 7-acre waterfront estate, dubbed Listowel, is set among corn fields, features \u201cclassic English gardens,\u201d a salt-water pond, a heated gunite pool \u201cwithin [an] allee of Sycamore trees,\u201d a \u201cvast\u201d rose garden and an orchard of 60-year-old app<\/a>le trees, according to the real estate listing.<\/p>\n

The Post\u2019s Jennifer Gould reported that the founder and CEO of Burch Creative Capital sold his old place in less than a month in the hot Hamptons market created by city-dwellers fleeing from the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Burch bought the Southampton mansion<\/a> for $8.55 million in 2009. According to Gould he netted about 3.4% over the $14.99 million asking price for 232 First Neck Lane.<\/p>\n

Gould also reported that the Cox family, of the privately held media<\/a> and automotive conglomerate Cox Enterprises, was the secret winner of a bidding war for the property.<\/p>\n

Burch is also a partner with Miami mega-developer Alan Faena on various projects, and owns the renowned Sumba island resort in Indonesia.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
