As part of the agreement \u2014 which CNBC <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/06\/29\/formula-1-strikes-100-million-cryptocurrency-sponsorship.html\">reported<\/a> to be $100 million \u2014 the exchange will become the racing series\u2019 official cryptocurrency sponsor and nonfungible token, or NFT, partner. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will rely heavily on [Crypto.com\u2019s] expertise as we explore the world of cryptocurrency, an area we are very interested in, and this will be the first time as a sport we are able to offer fans the opportunity to explore this exciting world as we further increase our digital presence,\u201d said Formula 1\u2019s director of commercial partnerships Ben Pincus.<\/p>\n<p>Formula 1 hinted that race car drivers would have the opportunity to win a new potentially crypto-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>d award, which will be announced prior to the Belgian Grand Prix event on Aug. 29. The racing series has also announced its intention to follow\u00a0Crypto.com\u2019s May <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.crypto.com\/crypto-coms-climate-commitment\/\">commitment<\/a> to become carbon negative within 18 months, saying it plans to be \u201dnet zero carbon\u201d as a sport by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are both, at the core, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> organizations focused on innovation,\u201d Crypto.com CEO and co-founder Kris Marszalek told Cointelegraph. \u201cIt is in the DNA of organizations like ours to find smart, technological solutions to hard problems like addressing climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Formula 1 Open Tokenized Crate Sale on Ethereum Blockchain<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Crypto.com will already have its logo appear on Aston Martin\u2019s team at Formula 1 events based on a partnership finalized in March.
