In the Atlanta-based musician&#8217;s case, it&#8217;s her jangle-pop alias Girlpuppy, which found itself thriving after a COVID layoff. With more time to flesh out her songs, Harvey enlisted her friend Marshall Vore, an ongoing collaborator of Phoebe Bridgers&#8217;, on production duties. Those sessions resulted in <i>Swan<\/i>, Girlpuppy&#8217;s upcoming debut EP out August 20. <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            Today, you can hear &#8220;As Much As I Can,&#8221; and its music video is premiering today on The FADER. Director Savanna Hughes films a singing Harvey in different locations including, perhaps most memorably, in a field while she wears a nightgown and wields a katana. I use the verses to recognize our differences, but also to recognize that we have a lot of shared experiences. I think a lot of it has to do with generational differences, the friction that it causes, and coming to terms with it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lyrically, this is one of my favorite songs I&#8217;ve written. It was one of the first times that I wrote something in the moment and realized after the fact that it was exactly what I wanted to say. It&#8217;s not meant to be hateful. It&#8217;s honest and was my opportunity to exercise vulnerability.
