The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> is slightly surprising because there\u2019s still so much we don\u2019t know about the film. And while most MCU <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> have an air of secrecy,\u00a0<em>Wakanda Forever<\/em> is particularly mysterious. But Marvel Studios head <strong>Kevin Feige<\/strong> confirmed that the <strong>Ryan Coogler<\/strong>-directed sequel is now before cameras.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/film\/news\/black-panther-wakanda-forever-production-atlanta-cast-1235008191\/\">Variety<\/a>, <strong>Kevin Feige<\/strong> revealed that\u00a0<em>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em> has already begun filming. \u201cIt\u2019s clearly very emotional without Chad,\u201d Feige said, referring to <em>Black Panther<\/em> star <strong>Chadwick Boseman<\/strong>, who died unexpectedly last year. \u201cBut everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We\u2019re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.\u201d<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Boseman\u2019s death has created many questions for\u00a0<em>Black Panther 2<\/em>. Normally, we\u2019d have a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> idea of what to expect from the sequel \u2013 more adventures featuring Black Panther himself,\u00a0T\u2019Challa. But Marvel has made it clear they have no plans to recast the role (or worse, use digital trickery to bring Boseman back). Which means we really have no idea how this is going to play out. The general assumption at this point is that\u00a0<strong>Letitia Wright<\/strong> as Shuri, Black Panther\u2019s sister, will take over \u2013 but we still don\u2019t have all the details.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/E5IkJ7MWEAMvkZ9.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-679897\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/E5IkJ7MWEAMvkZ9-700x394.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/E5IkJ7MWEAMvkZ9-700x394.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/E5IkJ7MWEAMvkZ9-360x203.jpeg 360w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/E5IkJ7MWEAMvkZ9-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/E5IkJ7MWEAMvkZ9.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_We_Know\"><\/span><strong>What We Know<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>So what do we know about\u00a0<em>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em>? Well, first off, we know it\u2019s filming in Georgia. Recently, Georgia has enacted voter suppression laws that had some people urging Hollywood to stop shooting in the state (many, many films shoot in Georgia due to tax breaks). But Ryan Coogler commented:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHaving now spoken with voting rights activists in the state, I have come to understand that many of the people employed by my film, including all the local vendors and businesses we engage, are the very same people who will bear the brunt of SB202. For those reasons, I will not be engaging in a boycott of Georgia. What I will be doing is using my voice to emphasize the effects of SB202, its shameful roots in Jim Crow, and doing all I can to support organizations fighting voter suppression here in the state.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Beyond that, we know that the following cast members are returning: <strong>Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/strong> as Nakia,<strong> Danai Gurira<\/strong> as Okoye, <strong>Martin Freeman<\/strong> as Everett K. Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, <strong>Winston Duke<\/strong> as M\u2019Baku, and <strong>Angela Bassett<\/strong> as Ramonda.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->Freeman confirmed his return earlier this year, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYeah, I am doing the second\u00a0<em>Black Panther<\/em>. I\u2019m going to be speaking to Ryan Coogler soon about what shape that\u2019s going to look like. I have no idea about the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> [so] I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen. Just before Chadwick died, if my memory serves correctly, the script had gone in. They had the script and they were working on the script, and then Chadwick died, and [I] sort of im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely thought, \u2018Oh, okay, I could see a world where there\u2019s no\u00a0<em>Black Panther<\/em>\u00a0then, because how can you do a\u00a0<em>Black Panther<\/em>\u00a0without Black Panther?\u2019 So, I still don\u2019t know what that\u2019s going to look like. And no, obviously, before Chad died, the idea of doing it without him would have been a stupid idea. It would have been crazy. It was very shocking, and still is very, very strange, that he is not here. So, I\u2019m as curious as you are to see what that will look like and I find out quite soon. While it might make sense to recast the part, Marvel nixed the idea, with Kevin Feige previously saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cChadwick Boseman was an immensely talented actor and an inspirational individual who affected all of our lives professionally and personally. His portrayal of T\u2019Challa the Black Panther is iconic and transcends any iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel\u2019s past. And it\u2019s for that reason that we will not recast the character. However, to honor the legacy that Chad helped us build through his portrayal of the king of Wakanda, we want to continue to explore the world and all the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_3 --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople will ask me, \u2018Are you excited to go back?\u2019 Excitement isn\u2019t the word,\u201d Lupito Nyong\u2019o said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m in a very pensive and meditative state when it comes to\u00a0<em>Black Panther 2<\/em>. His passing is still extremely raw for me. And I can\u2019t even begin to imagine what it will be like to step on set and not have him there\u2026But at the same time we have a leader in Ryan, who feels very much like we do, who feels the loss in a very, very real way as well. And his idea, the way which he has reshaped the second movie is so respectful of the loss we\u2019ve all experienced as a cast and as a world. So it feels spiritually and emotionally correct to do this. And hopefully, what I do look forward to, is getting back together and honoring what he started with us and holding his light through it. Because he left us a lot of light that we\u2019re still going to be bathing in. I know that for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In a separate interview, Coogler said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou\u2019ve got to keep going when you lose loved ones. I know Chad wouldn\u2019t have wanted us to stop. He was somebody who was so about the collective.\u00a0<em>Black Panther<\/em>, that was his movie. He was hired to play that role before anybody else was even thought of, before I was hired, before any of the actresses were hired. On that set, he was all about everybody else. Even though he was going through what he was going through, he was checking in on them, making sure they were good. If we cut his coverage, he would stick around and read lines off-camera [to help other actors with their performances]. So it would be harder for me to stop. Truthfully.
