But that doesn\u2019t mean a <em>Black Widow<\/em> sequel should be ruled out in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Director <strong>Cate Shortland<\/strong> confirmed that a <em>Black Widow<\/em> sequel is possible, but there\u2019s a catch. She decided she wanted to go. And I don\u2019t think she would want to come back at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The end of <em>Black Widow<\/em> leads directly to the events of <em>Avengers: Infinity War<\/em>, so there\u2019s not much room for another adventure with Natasha Romanoff during that time period anyway. There\u2019s always the possibility that another movie could dig into her past even more with another mission, perhaps one where she was teamed up with Hawkeye (<strong>Jeremy Renner<\/strong>) while working for SHIELD. But without <strong>Scarlett Johansson<\/strong>, that probably won\u2019t happen. But there\u2019s a much better way to continue the <em>Black Widow<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-665292 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/blackwidow-natasha-yelena-debris-700x300.jpg\" alt=\"Black Widow Trailer\" width=\"700\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/blackwidow-natasha-yelena-debris.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/blackwidow-natasha-yelena-debris-360x154.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Yelena_Could_Be_the_New_Black_Widow\"><\/span>Yelena Could Be the New Black Widow<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Even though Black Widow is the moniker adopted by Natasha Romanoff as an assassin and an Avenger, it\u2019s also a more <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> name given to any of the female assassins who have been recruited, manipulated, and trained by the Red Room. That means Natasha\u2019s adoptive sister Yelena (played by <strong>Florence Pugh<\/strong>) is also a Black Widow, and since she\u2019s left alive at the end of the movie, she can easily step into her sister\u2019s shoes.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->Furthermore, there\u2019s a <em>Black Widow<\/em> post-credits scene that certainly sets the stage for what we\u2019ll be seeing Yelena doing next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, since the movie doesn\u2019t arrive in theaters until next week, we\u2019re waiting a little while before we dig into the details of that scene. But suffice it to say, that there\u2019s plenty of room for Yelena to have a future in the MCU, and she could easily lead her own <em>Black Widow<\/em> movie at some point.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, Cate Shortland said she would be happy to come back for another round. The director said, \u201cAll the beautiful fights and the spectacle, and I think just creating something really fun and joyous is pretty addictive. So yeah, I would do it again.
