Peace and love to all who knew Bryan, and those he touched. We will miss him dearly.\u201d A cause of death has not been revealed. Bryan St. Pere was 52 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist and vocalist Matt Talbott co-founded the influential shoegaze band in 1989. The following year, Bryan St. Pere joined the group. Hum released their debut <em>Fillet Show<\/em> in 1991.<\/p>\n<p>Hum\u2019s classic lineup\u2014featuring St. Pere, Talbott, guitarist Tim Lash, and bassist Jeff Dimpsey\u2014was settled by 1993\u2019s <em>Electra 2000<\/em>, and, in 1995, the band broke through with the RCA-released <em>You\u2019d Prefer an Astronaut<\/em>, featuring the signature single \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/gMEB4HNNZ2I\"}' href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/gMEB4HNNZ2I\">Stars<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-jdXKxY hLOQZw\"><\/div>\n<p>Hum released just one more record, 1998\u2019s <em>Downward Is Heavenward<\/em>, before disbanding in 2000.
