{"id":289848,"date":"2021-07-02T22:00:24","date_gmt":"2021-07-02T19:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/bidens-commerce-secretary-says-many-retail-jobs-may-not-return\/"},"modified":"2021-07-02T22:00:24","modified_gmt":"2021-07-02T19:00:24","slug":"bidens-commerce-secretary-says-many-retail-jobs-may-not-return","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/bidens-commerce-secretary-says-many-retail-jobs-may-not-return\/","title":{"rendered":"#Biden\u2019s commerce secretary says many retail jobs may not return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Biden\u2019s commerce secretary says many retail jobs may not return<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>President Biden\u2019s Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said in an interview that many pre-pandemic jobs, especially in the retail and service sectors, might not come back even as the labor market recovers from the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real issue, I think, is that a lot of the jobs that folks lost are the kinds of jobs, let\u2019s say, for example, in retail or services industries, that might not be coming back or might not be coming back in the same numbers,\u201d she said in an interview that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k2YFGVtwkXo\">first aired Thursday on CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd so, what that means is, we have to lean into <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>renticeships and job training and up-skilling,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Raimondo\u2019s remarks came after the Labor Department said Thursday that weekly new jobless claims dropped to 364,000, a new pandemic low. And despite the surge in new jobs, the sector\u2019s unemployment rate actually jumped to 10.9 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the US economy, there were a record 9.3 million job openings as of April.
