The latest film &#8220;EVANGELION: 3.0 + 1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME&#8221; celebrated its premiere in Japan on March 8, 2021 after a few postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The film brings the &#8220;rebuild&#8221; series of the classic series &#8220;NEON GENESIS EVANGELION&#8221; to a new look with a plot that differs from the series and will be released exclusively outside of Japan on Amazon&#8217;s streaming platform Prime Video on August 13, 2021.  &#8220;3.0 + 1.01&#8221; is the new theatrical version of the film with animation corrections, which started in cinemas in Japan on June 12, 2021.  The first version of the film by Studio khara is known under the abbreviation &#8220;3.0 + 1.0&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"All_four_films_at_the_same_time\"><\/span><strong>All four films at the same time<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>Amazon has also secured the rest of the tetralogy in order to be able to present the three previous films on the same day as the finale. Young Shinji Ikari is forced to pilot EVA-01.  He and the EVA-00 pilot Rei Ayanami are assigned to fight, but EVA-01 is damaged by the Sixth Angel.
