Bryson DeChambeau said the three words every frustrated golfer has at one point or another.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate golf,\u201d DeChambeau reportedly mumbled after hooking a tee shot into the bunker Friday at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.<\/p>\n

If he was looking for a pick-me-up before continuing on with the par-3 fifth hole at Detroit Golf Club, caddie Tom Tucker wasn\u2019t around to provide it.<\/p>\n

It was a snapshot of a second straight day of misery for DeChambeau, who missed the two-round cut after totaling a 1-under par. Despite being one of sponsor Rocket Mortgage\u2019s paid ambassadors, the highest-ranked player in the field and the tournament\u2019s defending champion, he declined to speak to reporters after both rounds.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s safe to say DeChambeau is missing Tucker \u2014 who has been on his bag for all eight of DeChambeau\u2019s career PGA Tour wins \u2014 after the two split earlier this week with the claim of a mutual decision. Even if the notorious long-hitter is avoiding talking about it.<\/p>\n

DeChambeau was \u201cblindsided\u201d by Tucker\u2019s departure earlier this week, according to Yahoo Sports. Tucker told Golfweek that he \u201cwouldn\u2019t be surprised to see [DeChambeau] win Rocket Mortgage. He is hitting it great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, that didn\u2019t happ<\/a>en. Far from it. To add insult to injury, DeChambeau\u2019s bitter rival Brooks Koepka not-so-coincidentally tweeted this week about how his caddie Ricky Elliott is his \u201cbest friend and greatest caddie to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Without Tucker in his corner, DeChambeau curiously decided Friday to wait for the green to clear on the 398-yard third hole. He was still chatting with fans throughout his round.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never seen that happen on the PGA Tour,\u201d said Kramer Hickok, who was part of DeChambeau\u2019s group, \u201cwhere you\u2019re waiting for par-4 greens to clear of that length.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeChambeau birdied the fourth hole before bogeying the fifth and sixth \u2014 just as he had the first \u2014 and letting his frustrations spill over.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
