She and Kevin were each other\u2019s first real loves, and there\u2019s always going to be something romantic about their story. Meanwhile, Kevin and Madison did not actually get married in the season 5 finale, and the flash-forward to Kate\u2019s wedding showed that he was with someone. Is it Madison? There\u2019s evidence that it is, but that still doesn\u2019t rule Sophie out down the road.<\/p>\n<p>What makes things all the more curious are some comments that Alexandra Breckenridge made recently to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/is-sophie-in-this-is-us-final-season-alexandra-breckenridge-says\/\">Us Weekly<\/a> on the subject of her character\u2019s future:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cI did do a scene where they did old makeup, but I don\u2019t think it made it to the show \u2026 Every time they\u2019ve asked me to come back in the past, I\u2019m like, I hope that I\u2019m in the house at the end of the show and you see me in, like, old makeup and everybody\u2019s like, \u2018What? Oh, my gosh!\u2019 And like, you\u2019re not sure if she\u2019s just there because their mom is in hospice or if they\u2019re together. Not at all. The fact that producers didn\u2019t use the footage is a signal that they may have changed a part of the story.
