The latest: <strong>Mark Boal<\/strong>, screenwriter of\u00a0<em>The Hurt Locker<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Zero Dark Thirty<\/em>, is headed to the streaming service with his new series\u00a0<strong><em>Echo 3<\/em><\/strong>. The 10-part series follows two men searching for a woman who went missing near the Columbia-Venezuela border. The series is an adaptation of Israeli TV series <em>When Heroes Fly<\/em>, and\u00a0Boal will serve as co-showrunner along with\u00a0Jason Horwitch.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<em>Echo 3<\/em>, \u201cAmber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist, is the emotional center of a small American family. When she goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border, her brother and her husband \u2014 two men with deep military experience and complicated pasts \u2014 struggle to find her in a layered, personal drama, set against the explosive backdrop of a secret war.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new Apple TV  series is an adaptation of the Israeli series\u00a0<em>When Heroes Fly<\/em>, which followed \u201cFour former IDF veterans who served together in the 2006 Lebanon War [who] are reunited for a rescue mission in Colombia, where one lives, to find Yaeli (Tayeb), a woman once believed to have died in a car accident after the war.\u201d That series is available to stream on Netflix. Here\u2019s a trailer.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_Heroes_Fly\"><\/span><strong>When Heroes Fly<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AIRVzLypxDw?feature=oembed\" width=\"740\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Echo 3<\/em>\u00a0will be shot with English and Spanish dialogue and hails from writer Mark Boal. I know\u00a0<em>Zero Dark Thirty<\/em> has its critics, but I continue to maintain that it\u2019s an exceptionally well-crafted film, and Boal\u2019s script is a big part of the reason for that (the other big part is director Kathryn Bigelow, who isn\u2019t involved with\u00a0<em>Echo 3<\/em>, sadly).<\/p>\n<p>Boal will serve as showrunner alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Jason Horwitch. The series will be produced by Apple and Keshet Studios, with Keshet Studios\u2019 Peter Traugott serving as executive producer alongside Marc Boal, Jason Horwitch, Stan Wlodkowski, Omri Givon, Eitan Mansuri, Jonathan Doweck, Avi Nir (Keshet <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Group), Alon Shtruzman (Keshet International) and Karni Ziv (Keshet Broadcasting).<\/p>\n<p>This is the latest high-profile original from Apple TV , a nascent streaming service trying to stand out in a world full of streaming services.
