{"id":291001,"date":"2021-07-05T07:13:36","date_gmt":"2021-07-05T04:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/aave-to-launch-permissioned-deployment-for-institutions-in-july\/"},"modified":"2021-07-05T07:13:36","modified_gmt":"2021-07-05T04:13:36","slug":"aave-to-launch-permissioned-deployment-for-institutions-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/aave-to-launch-permissioned-deployment-for-institutions-in-july\/","title":{"rendered":"# Aave to launch permissioned deployment for institutions in July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Aave to launch permissioned deployment for institutions in July <\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjEtMDcvMGU3NTBhODktMmEzMS00MTBmLThmNWUtZDAwYzAwNjgwMmU3LmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-128018ef>Leading DeFi money market, Aave, has announced plans to launch a permissioned version of its platform for institutional investors this month.<\/p>\n<p>The platform will be launched in partnership with crypto custodian and service provider, Fireblocks.<\/p>\n<p>On June 4, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> user \u201cTraderNoah\u201d shared a screenshot of an email they claim to have received after attending Blockworks\u2019 \u201cNext Steps in Institutional DeFi\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bCXb52_5Udk&amp;t=2s\">webinar<\/a> that featured Aave founder and CEO Stani Kulechov, Fireblocks CEO and co-founder Michael Shaulov, and Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz.<\/p>\n<p>Both during the conference and in the email, it was revealed that Aave\u2019s institutional product, dubbed \u201cAave Pro,\u201d intends to launch this month in response to \u201cextensive demand from various institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24AAVE&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$AAVE<\/a> Pro coming in July.<\/p>\n<p>For those that didn&#8217;t attend the &#8220;NExt Steps in Institutional Defi&#8221; Zoom with Stani, here&#8217;s a recap email I received. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ClwlBkXh2r\">pic.twitter.com\/ClwlBkXh2r<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Noah (@TraderNoah) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TraderNoah\/status\/1411719489947906048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 4, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>At launch, Aave Pro will only support four assets \u2014 BTC, ETH, AAVE, and USDC, with its pools segregated from Aave\u2019s other deployments.<\/p>\n<p>The platform will add a whitelisting layer onto its V2 smart contracts to ensure that only \u201cinstitutions, corporates, and fintechs\u201d that have passed Fireblocks\u2019 Know-Your-Customer verification can access Aave Pro. Fireblocks will also be tasked with implementing anti-money laundering and anti-fraud controls for Aave Pro.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The email also notes plans to decentralize governance for Aave Pro in the future.<\/p>\n<p>In May, Kulechov first revealed that Aave was building a permissioned pool for institutions. Aave\u2019s three deployments currently represent a total value locked of roughly $17 billion combined.<\/p>\n<p>The screenshot received mixed reactions on crypto Twitter, with some <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TraderNoah\/status\/1411721441742045188\">highlighting<\/a> that the platform provides a rail for institutions to begin deeply engaging with decentralized finance.<\/p>\n<p>Others, however, expressed <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>rehension regarding Fireblocks\u2019 involvement with the platform, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DefiMoon\/status\/1411843166811029505\">emphasizing<\/a> an ongoing lawsuit filed against the firm by staking provider, StakeHound, over the deletion of private keys to a wallet containing $72 million worth of Ether.<\/p>\n<p>Aave Pro is not Fireblocks\u2019 first foray into helping institutional capital access decentralized finance, having teamed up with Compound in early 2020 to launch services catered to institutional investors.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"defi_newsletter\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
