Corey Oswalt got Yankee Stadium-ed, according to his manager.<\/p>\n

In evaluating the right-hander\u2019s performance in Game<\/a> 2 of Sunday\u2019s doubleheader, Luis Rojas was willing to look beyond the three-run homer Oswalt surrendered to Gio Urshela in the second inning.<\/p>\n

Luke Voit\u2019s double and Rougned Odor\u2019s bunt single had set up the inning for the Yankees.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot to take away from anybody,\u201d Rojas said after the Mets\u2019 4-2 loss in The Bronx. \u201cA cutter off the end that turns into a double and then a bunt single and a fly ball to right \u2014 the short porch in right field. It\u2019s a fair game, we\u2019re playing in the same stadium, but it\u2019s typically a fly ball to right and he gives up three runs. I don\u2019t think there is anything bad you can say about him mistake-wise. He pitched really well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oswalt, who lasted four innings, was starting for the first time this season after previously giving the Mets two superb relief app<\/a>earances.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was my job to go out there and keep the game close,\u201d Oswalt said. \u201cUnfortunately, we didn\u2019t handle business in the second game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miguel Castro threw a wild pitch in the fifth that gave the Yankees their final run in Game 2. Rojas earlier in the day suggested Castro\u2019s heavy workload early in the season has contributed to his recent shaky stretch \u2014 the right-hander didn\u2019t retire any of the three batters he faced Saturday after allowing two earned runs in one inning against the Nationals on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe All-Star break is going to be huge for him, both from a physical and mental standpoint as far as finding out what\u2019s going on,\u201d Rojas said. \u201cYou look at him throwing trip<\/a>le-digit sinkers and his slider is nasty, we just have to get him right.\u201d<\/p>\n
