Fourth of July fireworks may have died down, but drama is exploding on the NBC sudser Days of Our Lives<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Seems fierce businesswoman Paulina Price (Jack\u00e9e Harry) \u2014 who\u2019s been touting her ambitious plans for Salem\u2019s cherished Horton Town Square \u2014 has a hidden agenda. \u201cPaulina is a tough cookie, but she lies a lot,\u201d Harry says, laughing.<\/p>\n

And after betrayed friends and family turn their backs, Paulina has to do whatever she can to salvage her secret project: \u201cShe\u2019s able to go down with the best of them and rise back up.\u201d<\/p>\n

One unexpected by-product of her plotting was getting close to upstanding Salem mayor Abe Carver (James Reynolds). \u201cShe really cares about him, so he\u2019s the one she\u2019s most concerned about,\u201d the actress notes. In fact, Paulina reaches out to him in an attempt to explain her deception. \u201cShe\u2019s got to come clean \u2014 but she\u2019s not coming all the way clean.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry adds that returning to fast-paced daytime after 35 years (she app<\/a>eared on NBC\u2019s Another World<\/i> from 1983 to 1986) has brought its challenges. \u201cMy head almost came off the first week, but I knew I\u2019d get it!\u201d <\/i><\/p>\n
