Rising actor and model Daniel Mickelson died on July 4th at 23 years old, sparking an outpouring of emotional tributes from young Hollywood.<\/p>\n

A cause of death has not yet been revealed for the Atlanta native, but his passing was announced on Instagram Monday night<\/a> by his younger sister, fashion model Meredith Mickelson. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart is shattered & to write this feels so wrong and i don\u2019t even know what to say,\u201d wrote the bereaved sibling. \u201cYesterday i lost my brother, best friend & the other half of my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meredith, 22, added, \u201cHe was the happ<\/a>iest brightest smiley most sunshine human to exist and I\u2019m so happy God chose me to be his sister for his whole amazing life.\u201d An accompanying pic showed the two together as kids. <\/p>\n

Mickelson is perhaps best known for his roles in the 2017 TV show \u201cMani\u201d and the indie horror flick \u201cThe Killer Clown Meets The Candy Man.\u201d<\/a> Not just an actor, the budding fashion designer had also announced the launch of his own clothing line back in January. <\/p>\n

Stars flocked to social media<\/a> to pay tribute to the deceased star. Supermodel Kaia Gerber, 19, led the homages with a touching Instagram Story on Monday, which included<\/a> a screenshot of a FaceTime convo she\u2019d had with Mickelson. <\/p>\n

\u201cI remember that time we sat on the couch and spent the whole day coming up with our own secret language that we continued to speak every time we saw each other,\u201d Gerber wrote in her caption. \u201cI wish we could go back there. I wish we were still talking in sentences that probably annoyed everyone else but made us crack up every time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gerber concluded by thanking Mickelson for all the \u201claughter and happiness\u201d he brought to the world. <\/p>\n

Patrick Schwarzenegger, 27, an actor and the son of action movie icon Arnold Schwarzenegger, expressed his condolences under the tribute, writing: \u201cPraying for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris Hilton, 40, chimed in: \u201cSo sad to hear this. RIP.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lottie Moss, the 23-year-old OnlyFans star<\/a> sister of supermodel Kate, said: \u201cMeredith I\u2019m so sorry \u2013 my heart goes out to u.\u201d<\/p>\n

A week before his death, the actor had posted Instagram pics<\/a> of himself hiking in Hawaii, as well as photos and TikTok clips<\/a> with his girlfriend Maddie Haley<\/a>, a student nurse at Auburn University in Alabama.<\/p>\n

Haley also posted an emotional farewell to Mickelson on Instagram: \u201cI don\u2019t want this to be real. Words can\u2019t even describe how I\u2019m feeling right now. Last night I lost my bestfriend in the whole world. I feel like my hearts been ripped out of my chest.\u201d<\/p>\n
