In our case, this conversion process is what makes the car move. This h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens through the relationship between electricity and magnetism, we\u2019ll get into that below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_inside_the_electric_motor\"><\/span>What is inside the electric motor?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>An electric motor consists of two major parts<\/span>, the <strong>stator<\/strong> and the <strong>rotor<\/strong>.\u00a0<span>The difference between the two isn\u2019t hard to grasp: the stator is\u00a0<\/span><i><span>static<\/span><\/i><span>, while the rotor\u00a0<\/span><i><span>rotates.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span>Inside the motor, the stator uses energy to create a magnetic field that then turns the rotor. The rotor\u00a0is connected to a transmission, which turns the wheels and moves the car forward.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_does_the_energy_come_from\"><\/span>Where does the energy come from?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>At first glance, this seems like a no-brainer: the power is provided by the rechargeable\u00a0<\/span>batteries<b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">,<\/b><span>\u00a0right?<\/span> There\u2019s a problem here, however\u00a0<span>\u2013<\/span>\u00a0the batteries use a different electric current than the motor.<\/p>\n<p>To understand that, we need to dust off our high school physics knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>There are two types of electric currents: the alternating current (AC) and the direct current (DC). The AC\u00a0<span>describes an electric current in which the electrons periodically change direction, while the DC flows in a single direction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>T<span>o get back to EVs, the issue is that batteries use direct current while motors use alternating current<\/span>. There\u2019s a simple solution though: we need an <strong>inverter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_process_in_a_nutshell\"><\/span><strong>The process in a nutshell\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>So, let\u2019s sum the process up, now that we can follow a bottom-up approach.<\/p>\n<p>The batteries provide the necessary power, but run on a direct electric current. The current is converted by the inverter to an alternating one that is compatible with the motor.\u00a0<span>Then, it\u2019s picked up by the stator, which creates a magnetic field.<\/span><span>The electric energy generated by the magnetic field turns the rotor, and that turns the wheels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And, voila!
